Amazing waterproof case! Great for the pool!
Love this case! I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews about the muffled sound and the built in screen protector making it hard to text. I bought this case for the iPhone 5 mostly because of it being waterproof. I wanted to take pictures In the pool. I've taken it into the pool plenty of times to take photos underwater and there was no moisture at all inside. The screen protector bothered me the first day I got it but if you push the phone into it all the way there's no problem. The sound sounds nice, and it works well when I make phone calls. The case is very sturdy and does add thickness to the phone but that didn't bother me. It also adds some extra weight but the phone is still pretty light in my opinion. When you first get the case read the instructions and give it the water test with a dry tissue inside the case. Also if you have a screen protector attached to the phone take it off, and make sure the phone is naked when putting it into the case because water may leak through the case. This is a very well made case and I would recommend it to everyone!

Very solid
I purchased this case for the purpose of keeping out sand and dirt at the beach as well as using by the pool. I don't intend to use this case while swimming, so I can't comment on whether or not it is waterproof for swimming. What I like:1.) All of the ports are easily accessible and there is no adapter needed in order to plug in headphones/speaker or power adapter.2.) The phone fits into the case easily and it is very easy to take the phone out when you don't need so much protection. You can easily put your phone into this case to go to the beach, and take it out in seconds when you want a slimmer case.3.) The case is very solid and looks like nothing can damage your phone.4.) Looks cool, nice colors. What I don't like:1.) It is super bulky. The metal clasps are solid, but heavy. Not for someone looking for something slim if you're planning on leaving it on all the time.2.) Sometimes it takes a little extra effort to text or use the keyboard. Its not as responsive as when the phone screen is bare.Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this case for anyone who wants a solid and waterproof case. I like how the phone slides easily out of the case for when I don't need the extra protection.

Somewhat bulky but excellent protection
I have had several different cases for my phones over the years, mostly Otterbox. I have used Defender series for the most part and currently had a commuter series case on my phone. The commuter case broke just above the pin connector and I have to admit Otter sent me out a new plastic shell immediately. However within 1 week the replacement case broke in the exact same spot. I was thinking of going back to the Defender when I came across this Armor case, plus it was on sale for $24.99. I picked up the Artic version and so far am very pleased with the protection and durability of this case. Is it more bulky than other cases, absolutely. But I don't consider that a negative. The iPhone without a case is too small for me and fragile. Not with this baby. Not that I am going to purposely drop the phone but if it does slip out of my shirt pocket, I can feel confident my phone will survive the fall. Like it so much, I picked up one of the designer cases by Mathias as well.

Nice case, some flaws in execution
When I got my new iPhone 5, I knew I wanted solid protection for it. I'd used an Otterbox Defender for my 4s but I wanted something that would also protect against water. My Armor case worked fine from the start (no leaks), but there are some things that you should know before you take the plunge:1. If you wish to put the phone including case into a carrying pouch or on a belt clip, you'll have a terrible time trying to find a case that fits. Although the belt clip made by Otterbox fits, good luck finding something else that will. I've yet to find any protective carrying pouch, sleeve, etc. that will fit the Defender, let alone the Armor. Being female, I prefer to carry my phone in a pouch that clips to the outside of my purse and have yet to find one that will work. The closest I've come are neoprene pouches for cameras, but if you find one long enough, it usually is too wide for the phone. Check the dimensions before you buy! I'd go for a case that is 6" long given my own experience with ones that are shorter. The closest I've come so far is a Black Rapid pouch, and even that is a tight fit. I am hoping that it will stretch out enough to fit the phone better, but zipping it shut is not easy. Manufacturers are definitely missing a market niche here as I've seen similar complaints for phones enclosed in the Otterrbox Defender case.2. The Armor case has a built-in screen protector. Given that the case is waterproof, you can't pop it out if it gets scratched. I've only had my Armor case a few months, but I've already got two deep scratches in built-in screen protector. I ended up having to get another Armor case. This time I've installed a screen protector over the built-in one. Thankfully the capacitative screen still works. Moral of the story? If you get an Armor case, buy a screen protector and put it on from day 1, because once the built-in one gets scratched, you can't do anything about it unless you buy a new Armor case. I am using Tech Armor's HD version, but It has been a pain to get it cut to fit and installed without air bubbles or lint on the screen.3. The white part of the Arctic color case has a tendency to stain and yellow over time. I managed to keep mine relatively clean, but the replacement case I purchased (neon) has a charcoal faceplate now vs white.4. The only lightning charge/sync cable that works so far is Apple's. Other lightning cables, to include Amazon's, have plastic that is too fat at the tip to allow the phone to be charged or synced without taking it out of the case. I've tried bunches of others by various manufacturers to no avail. The opening in the charging area just is too small too fit non-Apple cables. Although taking it out of the case isn't that hard it sort of defeats the purpose in case the phone gets knocked or dropped while the case is off. That alone makes it a bit more expensive to use. I did try trimming down the plastic end on several non-Apple cables but I'm not sure how safe that is for the electronics. For now, I've stocked up on Apple ones. (see update below)Despite the issues above, I still like the case despite the bulk and added weight. If you are a klutz like me, such a case is absolutely necessary!10/12/13 edit: Regarding item #4, I've found that the iSmoooth cables DO fit. It is a tighter fit than Apple's cable and doesn't always make the connection on the first try. A slight nudge to the side works for me. Make sure you do that by pushing on the reinforced plastic part vs. the cable, which does feel a little thinner than Apple's. Another bonus is that the iSmooth cables come in longer lengths. I've not had them long enough to know about durability, but so far I'm pleased and they have good reviews. Happy to have received my Otterbox Armor from "SAI"
Came in good order, the product was delivered better in than the estimated time.Good quality product everything was in the box as listed. Now my iPhone sleeps in it comfortably.I noticed that all the buttons on the Otterbox Armor are stiff to the push and toggle. But I also noticed that as I use the phone more the buttons are becoming more malleable to the push/toggle.I like the look and feel of the case. I do not intend to run a car over it or drop it from the second floor to test it.But I know this has been done by others so I have no fear that the case will protect my phone.Too bad the Otterbox "Armor" is now "discontinued by the manufacturer"" though I hope the one I have will last and protect my phone for a long time so .......... there should be no need for a replacement!?.

Vraiment dommage!!!

No heart stopping moments when I drop my phone
I've had this case on my iPhone 5c for two years. It's a bit bulky but it's totally worth it for the protection it offers. I haven't taken advantage of the waterproof claim (and after this long I'm not sure if the seals would hold up). My phone has been dropped more times than I can count and stepped on several times. After the first few times I stopped having that "noooooo" moment where the world stopped as the phone hurtled towards the ground because I knew it would be fine. When I bought this case it was on for half price - I'm not sure how often it goes on sale. Knowing what I know now I'd pay full price if I had to.
