Furinno Basic 3x2 Cube Storage Bookcase Organizer with Bins, White/Black

I bought this to fit inside an entertainment center where a small television was supposed to sit. The tv is on top and my SIL took the fireplace that my MIL had placed in the opening, so I needed something to fill the hole. This was a very small opening and this particular shelf was the only one I found that fit and gave lots of storage. I am giving it 5 stars because it is exactly what I expected for the price and durability of the piece. I own several BH & G storage cubes and so I am familiar with the sturdiness of shelves such as these made with mdf, this shelf is made of much flimsier stuff. However, with care and an attention to detail, it goes together nicely and with very little effort. We were pleasantly surprised to find backer boards with the shelf. My hubby nailed them on and then we found 4 more small nails and did some nailing onto the midddle shelf which seemed to help with stability. I bought two baskets to go with the three cubes it comes with and overall it is super cute. I plan to put remote controls and maybe dvds and some random items in the cubes and baskets. Each top shelf has a 10 pound weight limit. This is a rather inexpensive item and it does require careful steps and following instructions, but it will work great in this tiny spot and cover up a big hole in the back of the cabinet. It took me maybe 40 minutes to put together and that was after I put on the ends and then had to remove them because the middle shelf was upside down. The wood grain is only glued to one side of the shelves and one edge of dividers. It is a little delicate, but looks good put together.

Everything I needed it to be without costing me an arm and a leg. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and was going to look else where but I figured if it was really bad I'd just send it back or chew out Amazon.com. over phone. I also read that for the most part the bookshelf/storage unit was made of recycled material so I wasn't expecting Ethan Allen type build and figured I would use wood glue to help add stability. Turns out I didn't need the glue.Well I guess I should start from beginning... package was delivered in like 2 days (I have prime). The overall packaging was seriously questionable though. Nails were falling out all over the place so definitely do not assemble or unpack around little ones or animals and wear rubber sole slippers or shoes for safety. So after like 30 minutes of counting and picking up nails and sweeping so no accidents/ouchies occurred later on I got into ultra smart carpenter mode and read the directions. And alas!!! Turns out that power tools were not needed and I got to go old school mode with a hammer and screw driver (you know the one with 4 prong thingies I think it's called a Phillips head screw driver or something). So yeah like an hour later because I was extra careful to not rip through material it was assembled and actually pretty sturdy.The few recommendations I would give are:1) Do not use power tools, they're way to hard core for this product... the material of this bookshelf is not strong enough to handle that kind of speed and force you will rip right through it. So break out those beautiful God-given bazookas and show that bookshelf what your made of ;-)2) Fully assmemble according to directions... though flimsy and cheesy the back board and side panels add a lot of stability to the overall structure.3) Hammer in nails slowly and make sure you feel them go into material and not through back panel. If you rush you won't be able to pull nail back out if you miss or tell the difference between nailing into material and going through back panel.I hope this helps.

They could have charged a little bit more and put screws instead of Dowell's in this product period it does not stay together while you are trying to put it together on the sides because of the wooden dolls. In addition to that, the back is nailed on and there's not enough room to nail it. Because the back is not made large enough to nail it on without missing the side pieces.Very poorly poorly made product. If you have children if they decide to stand on it, I am sure it will not hold them up or if they decide to sit on it I feel it would completely collapse. It will not hold even the weight of a small child. I would never buy it and please don't waste your money and buy this..

I have a very small apartment and our living room is oddly shaped with an inset area in one wall. We wanted to fill this area (partially) with a small book case that was big enough to allow for some storage but also small enough to fit in that specific space. To be honest, this book case was a bit smaller than I thought it would be, even after measuring everything beforehand, but it worked out okay regardless. The shelves are definitely cheap, just particle board, but that was to be expected considering the price. Assembly was not difficult but requires the use of small wooden pegs to attach the particle boards to each other, and while putting together one of the sides, one of the pegs completely broke off while inside the hole and subsequently cracked the particle board (a small slight crack) as well. My boyfriend had to go buy a new wooden peg at Lowe’s (I suppose we could have contacted the seller and had them send another one, but they are only a buck or so at any home improvement store and we didn’t want to wait several days or longer for one piece) and used his drill to get the broken peg out of the board. Luckily the crack was in a spot you can’t really see, and he used wood glue on it which made it look good as new, though it was an inconvenience for sure. It would’ve been nice if they included an extra peg or two, just in case. All in all, the book case gets the job done, looks nice, and is surprisingly sturdy. My boyfriend does stone cutting work and collects rocks, and the book case is able to hold the weight of a display case that houses part of his collection. Make sure you’re paying close attention to the measurements before you buy, though, because the photos make it seem much bigger than it actually is.

Facile à montet

This is a nice unit. I had wanted something to match the colour of other pieces I have in my living room & this is very close. It has transformed the space. It was easy to assemble. The instructions say 2 person assembly, but I did it alone without issue. It looks very nice. I am very pleased with the purchase.
