Nice looking and perfect size for living room or dining room in a home with 8' ceilings. It did not take my husband very long to install it. It is definitely very bright light with standard bulbs in it. I would suggest using ornamental bulbs or a dimmer switch if you prefer less of the bright light. I really like the light itself, it fits in with just about any decor style. I may purchase another after moving to another state/house.

I purchased four of these to replace the old "b**b" lights in my basement stairway and hallway. Total winner! Very simple to install; I did it myself with only a stepladder, the wrench that came in the box, and a couple of tools I needed to remove the old lights. Such a great upgrade and refresh from the dated lights that were original to the house. I put round 40watt clear glass bulbs (like you would use in a bathroom strip light) in each one and the effect is fabulous. Beautiful bright light, love the seeded glass shades, each sits level and flush with my ceiling...super pretty. Highly recommend and would definitely purchase again.
