KNIPEX - 25 01 160 Tools - Long Nose Pliers With Cutter (2501160), 6-1/4 inches

I have never written a review but I will for this tool. As a welder this is the best pliers I’ve ever used, it’s been a year and 1 month since I purchased, the cutter still cuts and I’ve used it almost all day for 60 hours a week, for a year, cutting .052 wire and it still has no issues, and the jaws haven’t worn out at all, still able to grip no problem. I did bend the tip of the pliers being too rough and I eventually broke the tooth off but evened it out and I still have no issues. The grips stayed on longer than any pliers I’ve used (including channel lock) mine still came off eventually of course but I used tape to replace it, hasn’t rusted at all, and have had zero issues with it, a piece of the blade itself even chipped off and it still fits flawlessly. I’m definitely going to buy another, if this thing ever decides it wants to die lol.

I love these Knipex tools. These are definitely NOT your box store grade of pliers. These pliers are very comfortable to hold and very easy to open and close. The handles are coated with a very strong rubberized/plastic coating that doesn't work loose over time. I don't know if the grade of steel is any better than others but I'm betting it is. I take great care of my tools so I'm never concerned about them rusting but I'm betting these pliers would hold up better than any others. I have no doubt these pliers will be the last ones I have to buy in my lifetime.

Knipex are the best in the biz. 160mm length makes them perfect for a go bag. I’d buy again if I lost these in a heartbeat

I was originally disappointed with these because when I first tested these pliers they were extremely stiff. The stiffest pair of pliers I have ever used. Upon inspection, the joint looked to have oil that had been contaminated with rust. I contacted Knipex directly and they were able to respond quickly. Knipex told me the pliers are not supposed to be that stiff and told me the pictures I sent them looked like the pliers were used already (or were stored improperly which led to rust). Knipex advised me to get a refund or get a replacement. I decided to get a replacement and hope for the best. I am glad I did because these new ones are hundreds of times better. They are not stiff at all. I did see some people here saying they got stiff pliers, THAT IS NOT NORMAL. Return them or get a refund. Its unfortunate, but I think it might be because of how Amazon is storing it and how knipex stores the pliers (in a bag that gets easily perforated by the tip of the pliers). But besides that, these are great pliers! The feel, the grip of the pliers, and the handle are great.
