Big man's solution
I have been searching for a soltion like this for years. If your a bigger guy and wear your pants "below the waist" for comfort, then you have figured out that your belts are breaking do to having to tighten them or you just keep loosing your pants. Some belts last a few weeks, others loosen on their own, just no clasp power. The one piece metal buckle is industrial duty. No moving parts as is uses a classic friction just like cargo straps. Department store buckles can all be destroyed in seconds. But I think these may withstand being run over by the car.The belt itself appears to be industrial grade cargo strap. It looks fine with my business casual attire, I dont think anyone is really going to make the connection. The buckle is polished and edges nice and rounded, it all works.Price is a bit high, but the belt hits the ttarget and as far as I am concerned is the ONLY belt for me. I am ordering two more, one for backup, one for when the webbing finally does wear out.If your a normal size trim person, I think you could trim this belt down and it would last you life.I have NEVER written a review - just this one issue has taken decades to really resolve and for the first time this morning, the pants stayed on from the time I left the house to the time I go to my office. Lots of standing up and sitting down, real tough on the pants and belt on a guy like me, I know I am not the only one.Be big, feel great.

These Mountain Khaki belts are the best belts of their kind
These Mountain Khaki belts are the best belts of their kind. I have all the colors. I like the metal buckle. You can wear these for every day, or they look great with a casual outfit and the colors can make for a sharp outfit. I gave a couple of these belts away for Christmas gifts, and the guys loved them! One was gifted to a law enforcement officer. The first day he wore it to work, the other officers questioned how he got such cool colors.511 makes fantastic products but these belts are a better value for the quality of the product. When you get one of these belts, know that you may get some fraying after wearing them for a while. Just light a match an carefully get the flame close to the fray and it'll melt it back to be just as new. They can be trimmed easily with a razor blade and the same flame melting process. You will be satisfied with your MK purchase. I wear their slacks and belts. It's something different, more comfortable than leather, and adjusts to any size within your measured size.

Love this belt
I rarely write reviews and never thought I would be motivated to write one for a belt. I wanted a nylon belt that would be waterproof to wear with waterproof shorts I bought for sailing, kayaking, etc. I'm now wearing it almost all the time for daily / casual use. It's easy to use, infinitely adjustable, and now sized just for me. It looks great -- rugged, but sort of western stylish, from my favorite ski town, Jackson Hole! Love the bison color I chose. A caution -- unless you are huge you will need to cut this belt to your size. Do it right! I used a vice to hold it steady and tight while cutting, a serrated knife to make a neat straight cut, and my gas stove flame to melt the new end a bit so it will not fray. I strongly suggest doing the same to avoid a messy end that will look bad be hard to put through the buckle. The good news: you only have to do this once. As long as you are prepared to do this right, you will love this belt.

The Belt I've Always Been Looking For
After years of searching for a quality nylon web belt with a stainless steel buckle, I've finally found it. The Mountain Khakis Webbing Belt is a high quality, thick nylon web belt (1.5 inches wide/53 inches long for the One Size) that keeps its place and does not come undone.PROS:1)Quality construction - thick nylon web belt should provide years of support.2)Stainless steel buckle will not cause problems for people with metal allergies (i.e. nickel allergy) - Every belt I've owned has caused a rash after contact with the skin under the belly, especially when sweating.3)Does not come undone!!! This belt stays in place exactly where I've set it. The stainless steel buckle has just the right rounded teeth that lock into the nylon web without damaging or fraying the web. Adjustments to lengthen or tighten are easy.CONS:1)Although some may find the price a little high, I do not see a problem paying $24 for a belt that will last a long time. As long as it does its job, I'll be happy. However, if anything occurs with fraying, loosening, etc. I will update my review asap.FYI - Also, it looks great with jeans, cargo pants and shorts.

Stays in position
This web belt is the ONLY one I've found that doesn't need constant re-tightening. This is another case where you get what you pay for. In the past four years I've purchased six web belts. I've thrown away four of them because they would not stay tight. The fifth is about to go in the trash because the buckle design pinches the belt material with a friction bar and after a couple years use the material has compressed to the extent it slips through and no longer holds the desired position.

Great webbing and buckle, subpar stitching.
Great webbing and buckle, however stitching connecting the webbing to the buckle is just a couple of vertical rows, as opposed to a Box-and-X stitch used on some heavy duty belts I've seen. If one day you have an emergency and have to fly down a zip line, like in some action movie, using your belt over the zip line, you can rely on the webbing and the buckle of this belt, but I wouldn't trust that stitching. I have a feeling if nice and heavy-duty materials are used in a product, then everything should be heavy-duty, there should be no definite weak link seriously reducing the strength of the product as a whole.I have modified mine with extra stitching by hand. Belt is pretty long for my waist, I've cut the excess off wit a hot knife.

Good belt with some flaws
The color of the belt is fantastic and I love the clean look of the buckle. However, the belt is too thick and it creates a somewhat ugly bump on the buckle, the "bottle opener" feature doesn't seem quite as practical as on some other belts and the "teeth" on the buckle are very rough

Nice and light, durable.
I bought this belt to wear during the summer months. It’s nice and light, doesn’t slip or loosen on its own. It’s pretty long, so I needed to trim it. I heated up a pair of old scissors until they were red hot and used them to cut and cauterize the nylon so there was no fraying. It’s been on multiple portage and camping trips and is holding up nicely.
