Great Bit Of Kit.....
very interesting and well built IEM's. the apX bluetooth headband features good comfort, exceptional range, reasonable battery life and very nice sound quality. max volume is limited as is typical of bluetooth solutions. ten pairs of ear cups are provided for best fitment; the standard cups provide unusually good sound isolation and exceptional comfort. two quality cables are provided; one silver-coated for 2.5mm balanced use, the other OFC copper for 3.5mm use. they are somewhat sensitive to source material: feed them poor source and they don't sound worth the price. improve the source and they show what they can do. in this respect, they respond very well to a good recording fed through a Grace m900 in high power mode. very high volumes are attainable in that configuration, and likely with any decent headphone amp or dedicated integrated or separates headphone circuit. in brief, their presence is their signature....exceptionally clear, crisp and forward, typical of their planar cousins. Bose QC30 or Apple airPods for example, sound positively muddy in comparison, and almost like you're listening to sound coming from an adjacent room at a loud party. bass is there, but not over emphasized as is common these days. they are expensive, but a unique blend of monitor and casual utility. worth a listen.

They don’t stand by their product!
They sound good when amped up. They sound like crap when not amped up. I bought these less than a year ago. And contacted RHA about the warranty and getting them fixed. I’ll just post their response:Lauren (RHA)Sep 21, 2020, 12:32 PM GMT+1Hi Shawn,Thanks for your email. I'm very sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with your headphones. Unfortunately, the CL2 Planar was a limited product and is no longer being produced, as such, we no longer have stock or any spare parts for this model, please accept my sincere apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience this may cause. I would advise you best to contact Amazon directly regarding this issue. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.Kind regards,LaurenCustomer Experience ExecutiveRHABut they still sell them on their website as well as on Amazon.BUYER BEWARE!!!

Great sound, great customer service
UPDATE: After reaching out to RHA support, they promptly mailed me a new pair of earphones with no questions asked. Bumping to 5 stars because the only thing better than the sound of these earphones is the quality of their customer service.——-Loved these earphones until today when I took one of them out of my ear and it completely fell apart. Have never had this happen before with ANY pair of headphones—not even budget headphones (let alone $900 headphones).

Fell apart...
So to start, I was very impressed by these, sounded very similar to my OPPO PM-3 headphones, and to my ear that is a good thing! Ran it first with the balanced cable to my Fiio Q5 DAC while I charged the neckband. That cable was a little hard to her into the headphone but went in without much fuss. Once the bluetooth neckband was charged I wanted to give that a shot of course! Well... when I tried to plug in the headband the cable was very hard to get in and the left pod fell apart... Yes, I know how to push a cable in straight too... I even was using the foam pad they are shipped in so I didn't push on/into a hard surface. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I will try to fix with some JB weld but I shouldn't have had to.

PLANAR MAGNETIC the size of a penny.
These sound better than the majority (I'm considered an audiophile and have over 15 IEMs and Over / on ear headphones with matching amps and DAC / DAPs etc) of my over ear headphones. They are that darn good.I purchased Audeze iSine 20's and they sound great, but are open back, are HUGE for something in the 'bud' category and are just plain awkward. After the sound quality honeymoon wears off from the iSines you'll be frustrated at their design and fit. These things are a dream. They come with bluetooth 'hang on your neck' cable, a balanced 2.5 cable, and a regular 3.5 cable and they're all super dupe gansta style +3000 type quality including an INSANE amount of ear tips and two different types of ways to carry them (read: cases)ONE THING: You will NOT get the most out of these without an amp using the cables. This isn't saying that they malfunction; good earbuds / headphones require proper power to get their best but anyone in this price bracket should know this and be in market for a mobile amp to carry around (Fiio Q5S is awesome, especially as introduction to portable amps and it has a TON of features) or other type of amp or dedicated player (Astell and Kern, Sony walkman, Pioneer, Onkyo DAC/DAPs - if none of those brands hit your pleasure button here on amazon you'll find dozens more in the "similar purchases" or whatever section. These also recently dropped in price so GET THEM.

Where on earth do you begin
If you are reading this I am guessing you are interested in high end, high quality sound reproduction, as this is about the headphones I will not say what sound source I am using other than it is a high res music player with a balanced output jack. I have a wide taste in music and regularly attend live concerts, these headphone are as close to the sound of live concerts I have ever heard, the clarity is incredible the sound stage is superb, I have listened to everything from Jan Gabarek with that soaring saxophone over choral voices, to the beautiful clarity of Kate Rusby, the mean sound of Stevie Ray Vaughn through to full Orchestral works and Opera. These headphone really are something very special, I have upgraded from the very good RHA t10 so already had high expectations even so I am in awe of these headphones.

Earphones from the gods of music
I have amassed quite a fair number of different earphones in the never ending search for the perfect pair. In RHA CL2 I may have finally found it.I've been a fan of the planar magnetic technology for a while now, I have the now well worn-out Oppo's PM3s (over ears) and was planning to get a pair of PM2s to replace them. This technology does not come cheap but if you really enjoy music you should give it a try, maybe you will not look at headphone and earphone-making technology the same again - or look back for that matter, I certainly haven't ever since. What I was missing, though, was a decent pair of in-ears as they are infinitely more practical when out and about. I wanted that technology in in-ears, and sounding good!, I wanted good cables and fit but also Bluetooth. I also wanted in-line controls and good passive sound isolation (not a fan of active one). If that wasn't enough, I also (!) needed them to sound good with Spotify (something of an issue with my PM3s probably due to no built-in EQ in the app). I am no music snob and love Spotify so this was a must (they did some blind tests, which showed that the quality of Spotify's compression standard is indistinguishable between lossless, so you can now safely get over yourself!). I got all that and more with CL2s. What is 'more' you may ask? They are just such a FUN pair to use.Yes, the cables are a bit fiddly if you plan to swap them around often. Yes, the inline remote could've been better, I find the buttons a little too recessed for my liking but that is me scraping the barrel of negatives. This is the ultimate pair of earphones so I am happy to report that my search is now over. And I got lucky, purchased them as an Amazon Warehouse item with cyber Monday 20% off in 'Very Good' condition, which was actually excellent with no sign of any wear whatsoever. I guess someone gave them a 5-minute listen and didn't like the treble. It is well-documented that their tuning is intentional and does include a spike at that low treble range, which you MAY want to EQ out. I didn't, in fact I had to immediately switch off any EQs across the board (which also shows how much I was relying on it to get a good sound out of my kit). I enjoy them how they were intended and they sound perfect to me. Don't forget to use Comply tips, though.Well done team at RHA, you have created a masterpiece and made me a very happy customer (now I know that I would've paid the full price). You've heard this before but never a pair of headphones made me want to re-listen to my music catalogue more than these. As it is extensive and varied, it will take me some time but I know that I will enjoy every minute of that. Please just don't follow these up with another flagship too soon...Edit: some weeks in and my pair is still going strong. It has been in my ears every single day since I bought it, for hours at a time. I've played around with cables some more, think my 3.5mm one might be defective as the sound drops and crackles, thought it was my jack port but other earphones work fine with it. That said, the quality on the cable is a lot better than blutooth, yet I enjoy both set ups equally. Cable exacerbates the treble 'issue' (the whole sound spectrum is exanded on it), I've played with EQ a bit to see if it made it better for me, but I found the result dull; just took the sparkle out of the treble.Switching the cables on this connector is not as fiddly as I found it initially. It is quite easy now that I got used to it and I actually like it - it's a solid fit and click, yet still easy to swap out.Edit #2. Still in love with these IEMs, I could never get over how great they sound every time I put them on but recently particularly started appreciating their unparalleled speed, air and openness of the sound, especially when I compared them to headphones with dynamic/balanced drivers. I realised I never said what my set up was: I use them with LG V30, which everyone should know is a series of phones with a great DAC built-in, rivalling that of many dedicated DAPs based on objective measurements. This is perfect for portability, which is how I mainly listen to music these days. But then...Disaster struck. My right earpiece fell on a hard floor and the casing smashed, it was totally my fault. I glued it together and the earphone worked for a while but then it eventually stopped. I will buy them again soon, probably at full price, I missed their sound so much even after only a few days of not having them. They are hard to find now and RHA told me that they don't know when more will be available as factories have stopped manufacturing due to covid-19.

Harsh treble on an otherwise decent product
Had to EQ out some of the treble on these to get them sounding wellSomewhere around the 4k band needs adjusting to get them in orderBetter than their competition i.e SE846 etc...
