SHU FLATZ SHU-FZE901 Bass Drum Stand

This is the best company for internal mic products. I have two, regular and flat, both are high quality and easy to install. And most importantly, they keep the mic consistently in the right place.Customer support is exceptional. Before purchasing the flat version I emailed some questions and they were quickly answered. I decided the purchase the flat version, followed their suggestions and it worked perfectly.

This is a very smart product. I have worked with internal mics both in live and studio situations. The main issue is securing the mic with out it moving around inside the kick drum. Also loose mics can damage the shells. Bass drum move a lot of air and vibrate a ton. this fits really well on top of a DW bass drum pillow. I would strongly recommend this. One note, I ordered the wrong model the first time not realizing that the mics click into the tray. Please mekae sure you are getting the right model for the mic that you will be using.

Love these! It totally changes the tone and ability of your Boundry mic. Your beater will click nicely, a great snap. Lars would approve! No more taping credit cards to the batter head! Think I’ve installed 4 or five of these now… never been sorry.For an added bonus, try installing one of these in your floor tom to mount a D6 or the like there!

This is great for anyone who wants to use an unported reso head! I purchased this along with a May miking cable that goes through the air vent. Perfect mic position every time! Luckily I already owned an e901

Perfect for the E901 stays in place even under heavy travel

Really useful and practical!!

Simple to install and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Easy to mount the mic (Sennheiser E901) and the mic stays put. After gigging with this a bit I've noticed one flaw - the XLR cable (female end that you insert into the mic) is virtually impossible to remove because of the way the mount covers the area where the cable is inserted. The mount for the E901 needs to have a void/cut out so that you can actually get a finger in their to release the cable from the mic. I've had to use screwdrivers and, the last gig, actually had to take my reso head off and unmount the mic to get the cable out. So, either be prepared to take a Dremmel tool to the mount or, what I did, get a short XLR cable that "lives" with the mic and doesn't have to be removed from show to show. From what I can tell from pics around the web, this issue pertains to the Sennheiser E901 only as the mount appears to be the same for all of the boundary mics (maybe just different hardware/screws/etc. depending on what mic you buy it for).
