It works! Heavy duty and plenty of bottom material to clamp into vise,
It works! As shown in the pictures I installed this on my Wilton 5.5" vise, grips perfectly in the jaws. I straightened a covid-19 length (that is 6 feet) of 1/4" zinc plated steel line in less than 1 minute making a few passes through it then tightening a touch on the last pass. Works perfectly for my needs.I will be using this to straighten coiled brake lines 1/4 and 3/16" as well as fuel/vapor hard lines 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8". The materials I will be working with is copper nickle, steel, or steel with a coating or plating. For my use, this is working great. I am not using this with stainless steel and do not plan to ever work with stainless in a home shop. If you are looking to straighten rolls of stainless steel, flares, etc.. you should acquire the tools that are made, if not recommended by the manufacturer of the stainless rolls you use. Anyone who leaves a bad review about a product not being able to bend stainless has no idea how much stronger and harder stainless steel is compared to other materials. If you have worked with stainless exhaust, brake lines, etc.. you know what I am talking about, you need special tools to do it right and that can be different simply based on the grade of stainless your dealing with.I picked this product over 3 other types simply because I could get it delivered in 1 day with prime shipping, the others were either shipped directly and had a much longer ship time or they were to be in stock in a few days from now.Based on my research here on Amazon there are 3 basic designs of pipe straighteners. For those doing the research, perhaps this will help, or maybe it will inspire you to leave a review/comment and improve my research. :)Handheld 3 x 4 rollers (12 total) on 4 sidesThe 4 side 3 rollers per side handheld models are pipe diameter specific. I think this is handy, though I do not own one if I do I would get the Eastwood 3/16" version strictly for brake lines.Vise mounted 1 back panel with 3 x 2 rollersThe 1 back panel with 2 upper 3 lower rollers I have found come in a number of various brands and designs including a Jeg's version. They all appear to be the same basic design though one is sightly different and advertises itself as having a thicker back panel which everything is mounted to.Vise mounted 2 panel with 3 x 2 rollersThe two 2 side panel with 2 upper and 3 lower rollers (like this one reviewed) I have found come from a dozen or so rebranded versions, almost all look the same except for 2: This model has wider tracks along the sides where the upper rollers adjust up/down, and the other one is slightly different and claims to be made in the USA, and obviously costs significantly more.I suspect the 1 back panel design work fine, assuming they use quality parts and the side panel is very strong. The only flaw is stress over time. If the 1 back panel is strong enough then the only stress points are the bolts that hold the rollers onto the panel. To completely alleviate the stress points the 2 side panel design like this model is preferred. The only drawback is that you must load lines into it rather than put the line inside at any position you want then clamp it down before running the line through the rollers. Cost wise, the 1 panel designs are about $20-50 cheaper, I don't think the extra savings is worth the worry that it may not hold up over time. This 2 side panel design leaves no question that it will hold up fine with years of random use.I think the 4 sided handheld design is very handy, but at $100+ each, they are not worth investing in unless you will be using that size often.

Better on 1/2 in than 3/4
Seems to be well made, I've only used for about 150ft of pex.Best way I found to attach to something, I bought a Husky sawhorse, a heavy one for about 60$ and clamp it down.Does not work if attached to something sideways.Recommend you cut and extra foot for length as each tip would need to be cut off.3/4 is tough, seems to leave marks/indent on pex. Haven't used for 1in but would be tough I think.

Best pipe straightener on the market!
I spent several hours researching pipe/tubing straighteners. They are basically all ≥$100. The double-planed style only work for 1 size which = $$$ if you want to straighten multiple sizes. They also don't allow you to adjust how tight the wheels are, so you're stuck with what you get. The style like this unit that only has 1 side plate is nice if you want to straighten the middle section of a tube that has curves on each end since with this style, you must have at least 1 straight end to be able to load it into the fixture. However, those styles flex too much. I just happened, by the grace of God, to be working on a shop air system and a pickup brake system at the same time. I needed to straighten 3/16" and 1/4" brake line as well as 1" OD Maxline aluminum air line. I also work with a fair amount of 5/16" and 3/8" Ni-Au fuel line.I should also mention that the shipping speed on this unit was the best I've ever had on Amazon in my 12 years of using Amazon (and a 3rd party shipper at that!). The second I received the box, I tried it out on 3/16" brake line. Straightening the line was effortless and it came out laser straight. Don't over-tighten the rollers. I then tried the 1" Maxline which also worked very well. This unit is so versatile that I cannot recommend any other pipe/tube straightener besides this one. The quality and finish is amazing. The unit came with a heavy coat of grease on the wheels. Once you take into account how many precision pieces there are on this tool, the cost is easily justified.Even though it's made in China, it still gets 5 out of 5 stars.

Decent enough
Worked ok for 1/2” max line tubing. There’s a fine line between mostly straight and flattening the tubing out of round.

Limits
If you intend to use this to straighten coils of 1” PEX, do not use this tool. It doesn’t work for this use case. The PEX does not fit properly through and it does not straighten even if you manage to fish it through.

Works well!
I needed this to take the "bias" out of rolls of PEX that I had purchased. The unit is well made, compact and I found it pretty easy to use. Way easier than trying to take bias out of rolled PEX manually.

Does not work with Maxline 1" air line
If you were under the impression this would straighten 1" Maxline air line you would be wrong. The line itself is too wide to fit into this straightener. I also have serious doubts this little thing would be much good with the smaller diameters. It is well built but only about 8" wide.

It works!!!
Don't let the picture discourage you, this copper-nickel tube looks amazingly straight in person! This is a fantastic product! I'm glad I didn't spend money on multiple tube straighteners for various size tubes. I've only tried it on 3/16 copper-nickel tubing so far, but I am confident it will also work great on other sizes. And the tubes did not become "squared out" as the negative comment suggested (not for the 3/16 copper-nickel anyways). And the wheels have very nice bearings. I had to write this review because I was so excited how professional my tubing looked afterwards. Thank you!
