Awesome little light, with how bright it is I doubt the batteries will last long. The Maglite turns on by twisting the head, although the beam doesn't really seem very adjustable. The clam packaging was slightly different and mine came with Rayovac batteries instead of Duracell; I checked with Maglite and found out they can come with Rayovac, Duracell, or Energizer batteries. The knife has the cheap feeling others have described, although the steel blade looks pretty good. On the downside I question the durability because the body is only plastic with a rubbery inlay. On the plus side it's very lightweight. Regrettably there is no pocket clip, and opening with the nail nick is a two handed task. Knife is laser etched "Made in USA".

Very good deal for the price. 14$ for flashlight and knife.Light is bright, very light, and seems to be good build. And only 1 mode for those who cares.I personally do not like multi mode flashlights, so if you just need on/off mode - this one is for you.

The Gerber US1 knife is great. I had one as my daily carry until I lost it while on vacation. I didn't need to replace the Maglite mini but it was cheaper to get the combo pack than just the knife. My wife needed a nice little flashlight for the kitchen so I gave that to her. After six months, the flashlight stopped working. She asked me to take a look at it. It turned out that both of the Energizer batteries were leaking and corroded the inside of the flashlight. It took a bit of work just to get the "Top of the line" Energizer batteries out of there. Once out, quite a bit of time was spent cleaning up the corrosion mess. Once that was done and new batteries were installed, it was working great again. Boo to the Energizer batteries that had a best used by date of 2027 but failed in 2022.

wow ,i want to convert all my mags to led and tailcaps,this aaa is outdoing all my other aa and aaa mags i have 10 or more aaa/aa/d love em ,want to try new tactical and matte black dcell maglite awesome as usual,MADE IN USA i have used maglites since the 1980's in the MARINE CORPS i always carried 2 never failed me ,still have them and use them+++

Love it so much I got 2 of them. Light is super bright and the knife is light and sturdy and easy to sharpen. Still made in the good ol USA too.

The flashlight was great! Plenty bright. does the work of much larger flashlights. The knife, not so good. Awfully cheap but I didn't buy it for the knife. I recommend the flashlight for anyone and any use.

Works good as a small spot light for tight spaces with crawling in attics hasnt let me know been using 3 weeks staright still have battery left i use for hvac applications

I am happy with the maglite flashlight. The head is removable and it can be used as a candle.I am very happy with the gerber blade, very sharpened and durable 420HC blade. Its design is peffect for edc, very handle. I am going to buy more 3 for gifts.
