Great Pad Thai bowl for anyone who loves Asian noodles.
I have tried countless noodlebrands because I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine and this Pad Thai Bowl honestly surprised me. I always taste the sauce packet before adding it and this time I used only half, I usually prefer mild to medium or non spicy dishes, so l enjoyed it because it wasn't spicy. The flavor turned out perfect for me but of course everyone can adjust it to their own taste. The noodles have a great texture and the sauce has a slightly sweet profile which is very typical for Asian food. I really enjoyed it and now I am excited to try more flavors from this brand. Also super easy and fast to prepare, the full instruction is on the packaging. I ate it with some baked chicken with pineapple. Enjoyed a lot, especially after the gym.

Tasty, but not Pad Thai
This is an easy dish to prepare in the microwave; great for work or on the go. However, the noodles are hokkien or maybe soba, not rice, and the sauce, while flavorful, is definitely not pad thai. It's an easy, quick, yummy asian noodle option, but if you're expecting pad Thai, don't waste your money.

My Thoughts
Even after reading the reviews I went ahead and made an order. The Good-- for something that is a packaged and pre-cooked off the shelf product, I would say it's pretty good. If you're used to eating Ramen Cup-o-Noodles, hands down Annie Chun wins. The Con-- Sure this doesn't taste just like the Pad Thai from a restaurant. I would say you have to be an idiot to expect any product/brand like this to offer a 1:1 experience. This product contains no meat or tofu.An extra note : I started out by buying these from Food Pyramid. When I got my first order from Amazon I noticed the bowl was engineered differently. Once I opened it, I noticed the sauce looked different also. The taste was different. It had more of a peanut flavor and I would say it was more of a mild plus, rather than a mild on the heat index. The rest of the ingredients were the same. I wanted to know why it was different. The packaging looked the same. At first I thought... Oh Amazon is just selling secondary product. I thought maybe the factor screwed up and sold it to Amazon on the cheap. Then I looked closer and saw something interesting. [...] - The package from Food Pyramid was labeled as Annie Chun, Inc. The one from Amazon was labeled JP Foods, Inc. Both had relatively close expiration dates, so I'm not sure what going with that. Did Annie Chun sell out to JP Foods? I don't know, but for a product that had the exact same package design, it was not the same item.

Convenient, Easy and Tasty
I love these. They are great as is or you can easily throw in extras like shredded chicken, spinach, etc. These are great to have in your desk or pantry for emergencies, a quick lunch or even a late night snack. I got them on Subscribe & Save and was really bummed out that they aren't available through that anymore. This is my favorite flavor of all the offerings.

New product has less fat, less salt, less flavor, and more sugar.
In the past, I would have given this product a 5-star rating, but now that the product has changed, I can only give it a 3-star rating. The changed products can be identified by a solid red and white circle in the lower left of the front packaging, stating that the product "Now TASTES EVEN BETTER!". For me, that is certainly not the case. Both the old and new product contain packets containing noodles, sauce, toppings, and peanuts. The noodles and the peanuts are largely unchanged, but the sauce and toppings are quite different. The old product came with 51 g of a deeply flavorful sauce; the new has 39 g of a much less flavorful sauce that is too sweet for my taste. The new sauce coats the noodles thinly, while in the old product the sauce was quite abundant after mixing the noodles and sauce, and has more presence in the mouth. Particularly noticeable to me is the disappearance of the strong lime tanginess of the old product. On the nutrition panel, sugar has gone up from 17 g in a 239 g serving (7.11% of serving weight), to 21 g in a 231 g serving (9.09% of serving weight). Overall carbohydrate content has gone down, from 86 g to 80 g, and overall protein has gone down, from 16 g to 14 g. Sodium has been lowered from 1000 mg to 750 mg. The old product had 500 calories with 110 of those from fat; the new product has 470 calories with 90 of those from fat.The bottom line is that the new product has less fat, less salt, less flavor, and more sugar. What was a great product that quickly won me over when I first tried it, has become an uninteresting mix that would have kept me looking for something better.
