very helpful for posture!
I've never tried a posture corrector before, so I researched a bit and decided to give this one a go. Now that I really want to correct my posture, trying to check myself all day long to remember to stand up and sit up straight just isn't working, and my posture has been so bad that my body doesn't even really know what good posture feels like. This product does a great job of moving me into standing and sitting straighter and is great as a reminder not to slouch. While wearing it, I can still slouch a bit, but the corrector makes doing so a bit uncomfortable on the shoulders. Consequently, I know immediately that I have to adjust and straighten my body up. I never realized how much better my back would feel when standing and sitting properly to take the muscle and spinal strain of slouching away. However, if you're slouching because your back muscles are weak, be prepared for your back to feel a bit tired after wearing it because you're essentially giving those muscles a workout as they get stronger and get used to holding you in the new position. The material of this corrector is soft and comfortable, but there are shoulder attachments included if you need extra cushioning there. It seems to be well made and looks like it will be durable but I haven't had mine for long enough to know how well it holds up long term. The velcro is really grippy which is great for making fit adjustments. The back design of this corrector seems to have been well thought out - there's enough surface area to be well bracing, and the criss cross part sits low and between the shoulder blades instead of up higher and onto the cervical spine. Thus in addition to holding the shoulders back, the corrector gives great support to the thoracic spine. With regard to sizing, I am 5'2" and 155 pounds and the barrel of my chest measures 34". According to the chart I need the small/medium, so that's what I got. The straps come around my chest and attach so that there is only a little bit of overlap, and the shoulder pieces don't come any further than my sides. Stretching any of that so any of the bands overlap to the extent shown in the product pictures just isn't going to happen. I don't need it any tighter, but if you want a bit more wiggle room to make this bigger or smaller, then going to the next size up might be better.

It reprograms your muscles..
See I got this & a back brace better than the "medical one" my insurance overpaid for. The purpose of my getting this shoulders back brace was I have degenerative disc disease among other issues, & 3 herniated discs that lean on the sciatica nerve & cause extreme pain-- a gift from my (abusive ex husband). I just 2 weeks ago found out I hv osteoporosis to go with my rheumatoid arthritis. So as I have been doing something I usually don't do but hv been due to pain (sloughing) upon finding out I have osteoporosis ( better known as bone erosion) & trust me on this when u find out you have this you need 2 be even more vigilant on your posture & taking care of every step you take as your bones depending on the level (mine is -3.8) are more hollow & easy to break already had 2 breaks & I'm not even 55 yet. I bought this & didn't expect much but I liked the construction online the design & function as well as people who had bought it were doing well w it. I liked the color. Here's a thought maybe pink one day? Just a thought. But it fits very well I like the way it is structured not bulky but skin yet very snug & hold your shoulders & spine back. After wearing it & yes I DID sleep in it I am starting to when not wearing it catch myself not holding my shoulders back & I automatically hold my abdominal muscles in & stand up straighter. So for me along with an excellent back brace (another company) the point is I feel very confident comfortable & less likely to shuffle. Remember: NOT A FDA MEDICAL device but it's darn near close in my opinion. Thanks for taking the time & dedication towards creating this item that I cam even wear under my clothes (the bonus it doesn't show!)

Works immediately!
This product did what it promises. It doesn't really correct your posture-rather, it reminds you to correct your posture. I noticed a difference from the first time I wore it. I don't wear it continuously, but I find myself unconsciously correcting my posture even when not wearing it. It's comfortable, unless I pull the straps too tight. The only complaint I have is that, being a small person, I have to pull the part that fastens across the midsection pretty tight and the belt ends with the Velcro on them are wider than the part they fasten to, so I can feel the Velcro against my skin. Not a deal breaker, I just have to fiddle with it to get it not to scrape. Love it, though, and highly recommend. Be careful, though! It's easy to overtighten it and then you're sore the next day!
