The Amazon vender's shipping and handling costs for this copy of Pepto-Bismol increased the price to 25% higher than the brand name and approaches twice as high for other Pepto Bismol copies (Equate, Soothe and others). This product acts like Pepto-Bismol and all have 262 mg of bismuth subsalicylate which does what it is supposed to do.I find Equatee from the store to work quite well at a much lower total cost than buying from Amazon.The take away is that Amazon like Walmart is not the low cost leader but the hype might lead you to think it is. Check final cost before selecting buy now.

While it might seem like a bit of common sense that this product's efficiency would change depending on what you have, I feel that I need to state this in this review. I've taken this specific brand before when it comes to both average sour stomach and stomach flu, with the results differing depending on what I had at the time. (Of course you don't really realize it's stomach flu until a little later on in most cases.)This stuff really works best when it's a mild ailment you're trying to soothe, such as diarrhea or a sour stomach from eating something you shouldn't have. In that aspect this works rather well and in my opinion, is better than taking a capful of this in any liquid form. You just have to make sure to drink enough water to get the capsules to spread out a little better. How much water you drink with it can impact how quickly it becomes active, or at least it seems that way. If you have something more severe such as a stomach flu, this will only temporarily mask the symptoms because ultimately the stomach flu is going to make you throw up regardless. This will help out a little with some of the pains and will definitely come in handy when the bug moves down into your lower digestive system.I've taken this in the official Pepto format and the various generic formats, but I can pretty well recommend this brand. I'd choose it over the big fancy brand names any day.
