A box that's really useful

Real dimensions are: 13 7/8 x 12 3/8 x 3, NOT 15.75 x 13.78 x 3.35 inchesWhich don't fit vinyl discs, for which I wanted this box. Now I have unprotected vinyls and a very expensive box.

These can be quite pricey storage boxes, but they are extremely durable and also stackable - and thus, well worth the price if they are for keeping something that has value or needs to be protected. If they're to store something in for the longer term, or from which you'll be accessing the items regularly, these are excellent storage boxes as the boxes don't seem to have any weaker areas (as with some other storage boxes which may be weaker in the lid areas).

If you do papercrafting or journaling you probably use 12 inch x 12 inch patterned/colour paper pads and albums/memory books - this box is ideal for them. It takes a few 12 inch x 12 inch pads comfortably; it also takes 12 x standard-size stamping ink pad (shown in photo) - it'd take two layers of 12. That and the box's other qualities (please read on) makes it good value at £9.33.Good build-quality. Robust. I've found the closed box can be stored vertically and horizontally, but if vertically it tends to need support on at least one side.It's see-through (slightly off-milky coloured plastic) so you can easily see the contents without removing the lid. That means you don't need to glue/tape labels to the outside but could, if wished, put labels on the inside (I find black writing on a white background shows up best), which makes it easy to adjust/remove any labels.The box can rest neatly in the upturned lid - no risk of losing it, for instance.Reassuringly easy and firm lid closure using the handles that pull up. It's not locked as in padlock/key, but once you pull the handles up there's no way the lid will shift or come off if knocked. The box hefts well too and, depending on how much weight you have in it, can be moved or carried with only one hand. But the box, whilst dust-proof (or as good as), it isn't not fully air-tight so it's not for storing food unless the food's already inside air-tight packaging.The box won't nest with identical box(es) but it does stack, and stacks reassuringly because it sits inside a lip of the lid on the box below - no risk of the box shifting or coming off accidentally.
