HP S6500 Wireless Mini Speakers (White)

It's amazing for the price and size, fulfilled all my expectations. The sound is enough for 10x10 room, bass is decent though. The product design is unique built quality is top notch. It's little heavy & round shaped so can't keep it in pocket.I would recommend for bedrooms​, home office, kitchen, can use it while sitting in floor, definitely not an out door speaker.Bluetooth range is good no connection issues, sound is little better with aux cable, the speaker phone function is working seamless. Got 8 hours usage in first charge.It's a single channel 2.4 watts speaker with 80 decibel loudness, so bass lovers please walk away. It's good for casual users. If anyone stuck with a PC or laptop on a floor or table at home this product will be great companion for enjoying​ wireless soft music and hands free calling.

I have not bought this product from Amazon for one simple reason - I work for Hewlett-Packard, and at a recent Employee Only Sale, I got it for about Rs. 1300/-.I had earlier bought Logitech X300 Bluetooth Speakers from Amazon, and after the disastrous experience from CloudTail (you can read about it in my Review here - http://www.amazon.in/gp/customer-reviews/RI8ZEV0MK0L00) I wanted to ensure I am buying a genuine product. Well what good way to ensure buying genuine than buying it directly from the Manufacturer??The speakers look cute. I am not sure if I can call them stylish but they definitely are good-looking.Box Contents -============• Speaker• Charging cable• Warranty card• Quick Start Guide• Product noticesSpeaker Components -==================• Bluetooth connectivity LED -The Bluetooth LED is blinking blue when it is searching or in the process of pairing. Once it is paired it turns solid blue. It can also go red, when the speakers are connected to a device via an audio cable• Charging LED -The Battery Charging LED is off till the time the battery is okay. It goes blinking white once the battery goes below the set limit (not sure how low, no way to find out), and goes solid white once you plug the device in for charging• Volume Up and Down buttons, along with a Play/Pause button -The "+" button's for Volume Up and "-" button is for Volume Down (obviously). once the volume reaches max, the speaker would beep indicating the maximum volume level has reached. Of course there is no such beeping when you go all the way min. The speaker will lower the volume until it finally goes completely quiet.The Play/Pause button works well. I paired my speakers with my laptop and was able to successfully play / pause a movie playing in VLC. Also, the button worked perfectly when playing / pausing a song in the default Music App on Windows 8.1, as well as in Windows Media Player• Power On/Off -The Power button is at the bottom and you need to turn the speaker upside down to reach the little switch and slide it to turn the speakers on or off.There is no provision to manually start searching for the devices to pair. When you turn the speaker on, it will automatically initiate the bluetooth device search, or attempt to connect to the previously paired devices; if it is not connected to a device already via an Audio Cable• Aux-In and Charge -The sockets for Auxiliary Input and for connecting the USB-based charging cable are on the opposite side of the buttons-face. You need to pull the cover out using your fingernail. The length of the supplied Charging Cable is barely 6 inches, and looks like the speaker is meant to be charged from your Laptop / Desktop's USB ports since the power rating for the device is 5v=500mAProduct Experience -=================Considering that the price-point is sub 1500/-, I did not expect much from the speakers. I have a room where my flat-screen is installed along with my drives and disk players. I usually sleep on the bed and watch the TV. The soundbar is away from me and is difficult to control. Also, if I play it a bit loud, at times I woke up my kid sleeping in the next room. So I wanted a smaller speaker that I can keep next to my pillow and so keep the volume sufficiently low to not let the sound spill out of my room; but audible enough for me since the speaker is right next to my head.To be honest, I was really surprised at the sound quality. The initial power-on sound is nice too! :)The audio quality was pleasant and it did not sound harsh, did not have excess bass, or did not sound shrill at the higher frequencies. I played different media (hindi songs with a lot of musical instruments, Ghazals, Indian Classical Vocals, Instrumentals (flute), English TV Sitcoms, HD Movies, to name a few) and the sound (to me) was just perfect. In fact, more than what I might have expected from a mono speaker that costs less than 1500/-.Update (As of Oct 10) -=================Recently, after charging when I pulled the cable out, it also pulled out the charging port! This is extremely rare and I am working with the HP Support to get the product replaced. While it did hamper my experience (hence one less star) it is by no means a common occurrence. As I mentioned earlier, the charging cable supplied with these speakers was barely 6 inches and so I am using my Samsung phone's charger to charge the speakers. I am using the same charger to charge the two phones I have at my home, plus Bose wireless headphones. There is no issue with any of those. So this seems like one-off incident. I will update the review again once I hear from HP SupportVerdict -=======For the budget speaker category, these are worth every rupee spent. Go right ahead and buy. I know there are local / chinese speakers available for less than half this price. But this is a reputed brand and the speaker performance is way better than what you would expect for these specifications.

Its been around 2 years, since I am using these bluetooth speakers. They are just amazing. I got them from Amazon in very economic price and didn't had very high expectations. But these have done an amazing job. I use them on daily basis. There sound quality is sufficient for a 450 sq feet room/area. Very clear and good. Battery life is very good I hardly charge them in a week. On an average I can play music for around 25-30 hrs then charge fully once. These are not for somebody who's looking for bass and stereo speakers. But they are high recommended to people who want to play music anytime anywhere at ease from there mobile phone/laptop aur any other device.

It is a nice product by hp but after some time its sound quality is not satisfying and not much better but its battery life is good

very nice and awesome product by hp ...do not go upon its ...it has a very good sound quality acording to its size ...at first i was very tensed about its size ...it is just half of the hand palm size of adult ..so i thougt that if size is small then sound quality will also be less ...but its not like that it has good sound but little bass ...and battery life is unbelieveableAnd also note on the box its is clearly mentioned MADE IN CHINAcharge battery for 2hrs and use till 7-8 hours ...but its very small ..in the picture it seems a bit big but in real it is really half a palm Hope it helped
