Losi 8IGHT Electric Conversion Kit Hardware Package LOSA0912 Electric Car/Truck Option Parts

This is NOT compatible with the RTR versions of the 8ight without additional parts. The Losi RTR comes with downgraded diffs which are not compatible with the conversion kit's spur gear. The included spur is for the HD diffs on the TLR 8ight family. The 50 tooth that comes on the nitro RTR comes into contact with the chassis and would require a new pocket to be cut. Major communication error on Losi's part and a major buzz kill for people like me who now need to shell out at least another $50 for what should've been an easy swap.

Good conversion kit, super easy to install and fairly durable. I wish the battery tray was lower to the chassis plate to reduce the center of gravity some, but it works as is. I've broken the battery tray in one of my 8ights, but the battery didn't suffer any damage so i can't complain. The plastic spur gear actually lasted over 2 years with buggy sized wheels and less than 4 minutes when i put large wheels on it. LolI have this kit on the 1.0 and the 2.0 buggy and really enjoy the ease of use compared to nitro.

I bought a Losi 8ight rtr , the kit I received fit great but the only speed bump was the center differential mount for the spur gear, it was not even close to a bolt and mount lol. I’m assuming it’s for a higher end diff or truggy diff. Needless to say I decided to dremel out the chassis to fit the original 50t spur gear the rtr came with to fit the center diff mounts and have no rubbing issues. I took a gamble but every runs smooth and honestly I’m happier to have a metal spur gear to pinion gear. All in all it’s a great kit as long as you can interpret the 4 picture instruction manual and hardware index that explains the conversion

Was a good fit, there was one hole that didn’t line up but it u kinda flex it the whole will line up.

Worked great on my 2.0 Truggy. I used a max8 combo with it and it rips. Plastic gear is holding up well, pinion spacing is very important.

Everything you need, but throw that plastic spur in the garbage right away. It lasts about 10 sec before it strips. You must upgrade spur to metal! Losi is still using this battery tray on 8ight XT. Its too high, but can be cut down. I'm surprised no aftermarket company makes a lower version.

I liked rebuilding my truggy electric as Losi would do from factory, it’s not worth trying to convert on your own for the price of this kit.

Will not work on any 8ight model like advertised. Very disappointed.
