HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content ProtectionNow why do i even need to bother about it ?If you have any streaming netflix or amazon subscription then you should...When streaming video content while using dual monitor for example you will face this issue. You cannot view hd content due to hdcp restrictions. That is the caution symbol you get for viewing content on your streaming platform. Your will be downgraded to standard video which is of low quality.This happens if you turn off the display power on second montior. The condition being when both connected to graphic card, both the displays should be powered on irrespective of whether you intent use it or not.Secondly the browser you use may be chrome or firefox each comes with hdcp settings called DRM or protected content. It's enabled by default, just to cross verify.Conclusion:Use only either one connected monitor and another disconnected from graphic cardOrBoth the connected montiors powered on, Not one on and another one off.*Upvote if this has been helpful.

Only does 60Hz at 1080p. Needed an extra connection to my monitor, this was the simplest option. DVI should technically be able to do up to 144Hz at 1080p, but no joy. My monitor is 144Hz, but I don't know if the 60Hz limitation is due to the cable or the monitor's inbuilt port. Which is fine for me because I can use it with my Raspberry Pi.And it's just the right length (3 feet), I needed a short cable so this works out great. Cable seems sturdy enough, though time will tell.

I bought this product by seeing the good reviews. It was perfectly working at initials days but on the 1st month it stopped working. I am reaching out to their customer care for the last 1 year with just an acknowledgement stating we will look into the issue and come back. But still they has not come back with replacement or refund of money.I wrote email to [email protected] & the person name, who acknowledges my email compliant with no solution, is Mr. Salman.It was simply waste of money and time. Better go for Amazon Basic products.

The cable quality seems pretty good. It looks and feels sturdy, but time will tell. The thumbscrews of the DVI-D connector don't screw in easily and may take a bit of an effort. It is bidirectional and works as advertised. It is relatively better than its Amazon Basics counterpart and other converter plugs. The 3 ft cable is too short & the 10 ft one is too long, but a better investment at the cost it demands. Expensive, but sure to work unlike other brands. Should have provided exchange for size at this price and not just replacement with the exact same item.

The cable and plugs are even better quality than they look in the pictures! Forced me to write a review after many years - that's great quality and customer satisfaction for you!I bought because my Acer monitor was looking all grainy on an HDMI connection with my new GPU, which it did not on DVI with my previous GPU. After plugging this cable, it looks exactly like my previous DVI experience.5 stars

I bought this for my 165 (if display/hdmi2.x port used) monitor coz hdmi port in my GPU is dead somehow. I did research and found out dvid supports 144hz output but it won't work if converted to hdmi. So I ordered this just expecting 60hz on my monitor but when I plugged this cable in, I saw 144hz in my gnome's display settings. I was socked as this was not supposed to work. Even product's description doesn't mention this.

The wire is sturdy and i checked plugged it with my desktop gfx card and the Dell monitor...and it worked well. The signal quality might be a bit low as earlier i was using dvi to dvi port conntectors and the resolution was great! So, this is the reason for deducting one star. Otherwise the build is good and the wire seems to last more than a few years.

I bought this to try and use a WQHD monitor with a HDMI input with my Mac which has a DVI output from a NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB car. Unfortunately, contrary to what is claimed on the product page, it does not work at 2560 x 1600 resolution as you can see by the blurred text. It does however work at 1600x900 if that's good enough for you. It may work the other way I don't know. The cable itself is great quality, looks good and is durable to touch.

I accidentaly bought monitors that didn't have a DVI port on them, just HDMI and DisplayPort. My motherboard only had HDMI, DVI & VGA. So before I brought a graphics card that had both HDMI and DisplayPort I thought I'd give this cable a go. I used this cable to connect the DVI port on my motherboard to a HDMI port on my monitor. It worked perfectly!The reason I've been very specific with my use case is because other reviews have indicated that my config isn't possible.The cable seems well made and looks the part with the blue metal port housings.

Needed this after moving from playing PC on a tv to playing on a proper monitor. The brief time I used this I cannot fault it as it provided perfectly clear graphics.I have stopped using this however after I realised the graphics card had a display port and HDMI output hidden behind a panel...

This is the second BlueRigger cable I've bought. They not only look good, but have a very good build quality too.There are many, many cheaper looking DVI/HDMI cables out there that never quite inspire any confidence, unlike these babies.I think it's the distinctive aluminium alloy blue plugs that make them stand out from the crowd, rather than the "cheapie" plastic ones.Thoroughly recommend them...... :)

Read lots of reviews on this type of lead, and I needed a cable to connect a HDMI Monitor to a Laptop with a spare DVI port for an additional monitor.Joys of home working during lockdown!Plugged HDMI into Monitor, and the other into the DVI slot and bingo! worked a treat, nice a clear as well
