The only "negative" is that its a tight fit onto the device. I'm not sure that qualifies as a true negative, though. The case is silky smooth (almost as if it has some invisible layer of baby powder) yet soft and spongy. I purchased it to keep my tablet safe when used by my sons, and I'm fully confident that it'll do its job. The price was extremely reasonable, too. Practically perfect in every way. I'd buy more if I could find another Nvidia Shield for less than MSRP. :-/

I bought my K1 primarily to fly drones with, in what could be harsh outdoor environments. In the Androidverse most devices are cheap except for the grossly overpriced Samsung stuff and Nvidia's K1 - a tablet geared at gamers. Poetic's case gives me my first peace if mind regarding my K1 taking accidental thumps. (If you have a next iteration of this product and make your case buttons capable of really digging into the K1's annoyingly bashful buttons you'll be my heroes.)

Today I dropped the Shield Tablet on the stone floor from table height and it didn't even make a sound as it softly compressed the edge of the case and gently flopped onto its face. So I have to write a review to tell you that this case is really kid-proof. Even if it is thrown like a projectile, this is so thick I doubt there will be any damage. I'm also using the Sparin Screen Protector.There are just a couple really minor things I don't like.. 1. It's only available in black (where are the green, blue, red, purple colors shown on the description photo? I couldn't find them anywhere. Our toddler would love a green case). 2. It is easy to flex the sides of the case and sometimes I catch our toddler almost peeling the case off.Overall I highly recommended this product to create a kid-proof tablet out of the Nvidia Shield K1.

Finding a case that fits a shield K1 table is tough due to the limited choices available in the market let alone a bumper case. Poetic definitely delivers. The quality of the case is great, fits well on the device and feels comfortable to hold. Overall a great value product offering excellent protection.

It offers probably the best protection of any case I have looked at for my son's Nvidia Shield, being 6 years old he needs it. But unfortunately I may have to trade some of the drop protection for function. It is difficult to pull down the menu from top of the screen, nearly impossible for him. I wish android had made it so you didn't have to drag down from the very top edge of the screen but they did. Also the buttons are very hard to press, this is more Nvidia's fault because of the nearly flush design of the buttons, maybe a case made of harder material over the buttons would do a better job. I don't particularly like the stylus hole when my son has the model without a stylus but atleast the case fits including with the tempered glass screen protector. I don't think I will be able to find a case that offers 100% function AND protection.

This is the best android tablet I have seen. My child can run all of his school programs on it with ease. I had problems finding a good tablet for his school; however, this tablet worked with all of the 4th-5th grade venture apps. It also works with his X-Box and PC. He can even hook his X-Box One controller to it and play games. If you buy a SD card for it, be sure to make it expand the hard drive and not just removable storage. It will expand your internal memory. You will fill the regular tablet hard drive very quickly because the tablet can handle any app loaded.

For a tablet that was advertised as a "gaming tablet," this thing has serious flaws. There are lots of issues with laggy software, tablet crashes frequently. Battery life is pretty terrible. Storage space is much too limited.I bought this tablet thinking it would be great to help out with college workload and some entertainment when I had free time. When I got it out of the box I was pretty excited, it was the perfect size, packaging was nice. It was built by a reputable company, etc. That is about where things stopped being good and went bad.I should have noticed the signs early on, even on the first day it had small issues with a laggy screen and bad load times. I thought this might have just been bugs, didnt think much about it. Things were pretty problem free the first month or so. And then the issues really set in. Apps continued to crash, load times were TERRIBLE. My phone, an HTC 626 (cheap), would load movies and web pages faster and more reliably. Battery life went from somewhat acceptable to worse. My overall experience with this overpriced paperweight was terrible. I gave up on this thing after about 4-5 months of owning it. Just couldnt stand the frustration it brought with it everytime I tried to use it.I'm extremely dissapointed in this tablet. It's advertised as a kick-ass gaming tablet that SHOULD be the best option to use for entertainment. Not so, this product does not have Nvidia's attention to detail and quality that they are usually known for. Maybe this was a new adventure for them, maybe they thought they could make better tablets than everyone else. Sadly, they missed the mark hard, and should never attempt anything like this again.

Es casi perfecta, solo tiene un ligero problema el cual es complica un poquitin acceder a las opciones en pantalla completa, por otra parte quedó perfecta , tiene agujero para la cámara y es solida, a pesar de su aspecto tosco.. La forma de la funda lo hace ver como una verdadera tablet gamer, parece bastante resistente en especial x los bordes, al ser anti deslizante olvidaré de que tu gato la tire al suelo , puedes colocarla boca abajo a tu tablet sin problemas y tiene agujeros para los conectores en fin, estoy bastante contento con la compra.

Fits perfectly. Easy to grip and provides a lot of protection. Add a screen protector and your Shield is well-protected.

Superb all round protection for your shield. This is for the first generation shield tablet but it fits perfectly fine on my K1 version of the later shield tablet. The material is a soft plastic that has a VERY smooth and comfortable finish to it. It beckons you to stroke it. The Shield is for my kids and this case is ideal for them. For sensible grown ups, this amount of protection is overkill. I prefer to use it naked.
