Worked. I started to try and use the tools, but soon discovered that a razor blade from a box knife around the edges and playing cards (yes, playing cards) work a lot better for safely and easily separating the glass from the LCD screen. I would recommend not using the tape provided with this kit to secure the glass. Applying LOCA (liquid optically-clear adhesive) glue to the entire surface of the glass will make the repair stronger and less likely to break again. I used the tape, and when I dropped my phone again after the repair - from a height of only 1.5 feet onto linoleum - the glass shattered AND destroyed the LCD screen, as well. The glass is well worth the 10 bucks or so, but invest in some LOCA glue if you want your repair to last.

This is the right set for the job. I ordered the other kind with the full face sticky sheet, and had to remove it. It looked like garbage, you want THIS ONE, with the 2 mm TAPE, not full sheet. So after I used other full sheet, I destroyed the glass from that one Removing it. I ordered this one PROMPTLY. It was perfect!!However, durning removal of the first crappy full sheet adhesive from other vendor, I cut the digitizer ribbon with the guitar pick. I am typing all this to hopefully help anyone else pick the best kit, and avoid my $131 repair.Order this kit for Samsung S4 glass replacement. DO NOT USE THE kits with the full sheet adhesive. I've ordered two of these, assuming I did something wrong the first time. But the second turned out just as badly as the first. The package included parts and tools not mentioned in the directions. And it should be noted that the UV glue takes a REALLY long time to cure, even with a UV light.

This is probably a good screen, however the Samsung s4's screen is not easy to replace. My screen turned out to be shattered deep beneath the top piece of glass, and it's hard to separate the glass from the digital pieces, so I had to get it repaired professionally. Good luck!

ordered kit to replace screen, it came with everything shown and I was able to replace the screen. Its a good kit to get If you don't have all the tools.

My experience level: I have replaced components of this phone before.My verdict: don't do it.The instructions require things that are not included,like a knife and heat source. After carefully following the first 5 steps, I lifted the cracked glass to reveal that the knife portion of the instructions had cracked my LCD. Also the part of the repair that uses a fine wire to separate the glue from the glass tore the button receivers off the bottom of the phone and in half. Given that this took 40 minutes, I am furious. This morning I had a working phone with a crack. Now I have to spend hundreds for a new phone.

This replacement screen does not have the Samsung logo written on it. I did not know until i received it. Other than that it works OK fit perfectly on my Samsung galaxy S4.

The glass is of good quality. All required tools provided. Very easy to install.

Replacing a cracked screen on the S4 with this means that you somehow have to unglue broken pieces of glass from the phone edge and LCD display with a knife. It is not complicated at all, but it's just a likely failure, even if you're very handy with electronics. Make a backup before going ahead and get ready to buy a new phone.

I was looking for replacement screen.This is not wat i wanted.

The product itself is fine but the problem lies with the user. I used my hairdryer instead of a heat gun. I ran out of patience and started prying open my phone with a knife, which ripped the sensitive digitizer. Since I used a hair dryer, it blew the pieces of glass shards everywhere. If you attempt this yourself, be really patient, use a heat gun, and follow the directions to a T.
