Smelly car then you need to read this !!!
I bought this to disinfect my cars interiors and ac vents. Rain water came in the car once after drying it felt fishy. Even same smell started coming out the ac vents. What i did was.1. Switched on the air conditioning with the engine running.2. Turned off the circulation mode.3. Kept the temperature exactly inbetween cold and hot. My case it was a climate contole ranging from 15 to 30 degrees. Temperature setting was 22.5 .4. Blower in full speed.5. Closed all the doors windows and sprayed detol from the fresh air suction duct which is below the wind shield.6. One good long spray ( 5 - 10 seconds )7. Smell the car u can smell detol in the car.8. Turned of the hvac for some time with the engine running.9. That time i sprayed dettol in the foot well area seats all arround the car.10. Switch on the Ac with same temprature setting but now in circulation mode.11. Let the car run for 15 to 20 mins. Or time that will be satisfactory for you.12. Now leave the windows open for some time for the detol smell to escape out of the car.12. Finally all the fishy smell is out !!!If you are a car guy concerned about how it smells. It smells exactly like the malls lobby or inox theatres. Nice smell only for the first day. If you leave the car over night with a little opening of the window you will have no smell in the car. Fresh interior smells and the air feom the blower feels light.I tried it in my new car which is 2 months old. Same procedure. But only till step 7.It broight back the new car smell again.

Okay for freshening up your mattress.
I only bought it to clean and freshen up my mattress. I guess it did okay. But if you're looking to substitute this for proper mattress cleaning, then I can assure you it won't be the same. You should spray it on your mattress once/twice a week, but to properly clean a mattress, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Good Product.
I used it to disinfect my cars after the flooding.One bottle was sufficient for the upholstery and carpeting of two cars.It has a fresh odour.

Nice smell.
Very nice product.Smell is very good and subtle. Seems quite effective for the toilet as well as for the cat litter.The Dettol name gives satisfaction of infection free room and toilet.

Leaves stain on wooden polished doors
Not sure about effectiveness but Leaves permanent stain on the doors wooden door.
