Smooth and perfect!
It's really sturdy and on theplus side it has got rubber paddings for a grip. I've seen a few videos on youtube where people find these stands hard to click in the console but wasn't hard, it got on and off really easy. All over great product if your table or the surface isn't wide enough for console.
