It's ok
Instructions to assemble are pretty terrible...a lot of the hardware descriptions do NOT match what is in the package. The reason for 3 stars...I used base gel and water and just like several reviewers, my base had a leak. No way I am taking it apart to send it back, I am going to fill it with sand I suppose. I wish I could just plant it in the ground instead at the point.

The best basketball hoop I've ever seen
I've had two other portable hoops that cost about the same, but this one is in a class by itself. This is the most solid, substantial portable hoop I've ever seen. It seems like near professional quality. All right, assembly is not the easiest, but only a little more difficult than any other hoop I've owned. It's best done by two people, but a third couldn't hurt. My 14 year-old son and I got the job done without too much grief. The trick to connecting the three post sections is to use a little lube like WD 40 on the surfaces that slide into each other and then hold the sections together and drop them onto a wooden board to get the connection started. Once that is accomplished the rest is relatively easy. Just follow the directions in the order they're given and Bob's your uncle. The finished product is amazing. This thing is SOLID, and looks absolutely great. For less than $400 and free shipping you can't go wrong. And it looks like it will last forever. This hoop is worth twice the price.

Decent starter hoop system
Bought this for my 13 year old son, who wanted a hoop in our yard. The whole system was definitely really hefty and trying to install it with my 13 year old son was definitely not a good idea. It took me and another tall strong individual to help put it together. Instructions were actually quite good, in contrast to what some reviewers thought it was... it does take some know how and being handy with using construction instructions... The only issue with the whole building of the hoop system was not the instructions, but rather the heft of it, and also the fitting of the bolts and screws... better quality control would be good...Overall, it took about 2 hours to put it all together... The backboard was pretty solid for the price of the unit... Once filled with water, the unit was quite stable...could be better, but for the price, it is pretty decent...

Kinda not good on delivery
Unfortunately this was delivered with a small crack on the backboard and a hole in the base that leaked when we filled it w water. Given I was 50% complete when installing it that I discovered the problems I opted for duct tape on the base and fingers croon the glass crack. So far so good.

Awesome
Very durable. Easy instructions. Definitely need two people to put together. We used a sturdy table instead of a sawhorse.

No problem
As with all b-ball goals, there's nothing different about putting this one together.(this is our 3rd one) Took my husband & I about 30 mins. Its the best one we like so far.

Cracked Base
Purchased the Hoop through you guys. Everything was delivered in a timely manner. Except when I went to put it together the base was cracked. Here it is one week since I notified Dazadi & Communicated with Elan Klaristenfeld Executive VP of Sales & Merchandising & not even a confirmation. I'm starting to get a little impatient considering I invest in Amazon & tell everybody I know how great you company is. Please contact them & let me know via email. Thanks Mark HOllingsworth
