VERY IMPRESSED!!
I very rarely write positive reviews, but this one deserved it and my time. I’ve owned a BUNCH of robot vacuums. Machines from Neato, Robotrock, 360, & Ecovacs. My most recent was the Roborock S7 Max Ultra, which has been a very good machine. It was time for an upgrade and I noticed that, for the features I wanted, Roborock started getting very expensive. I looked to the new kids on the block MOVA. The things I wanted most: Rotating mop pads Leaving the mop pads at the base for carpet only rooms Extending side brush Extending mop pad Auto detergent dispensing Voice control Increased suction Good pet hair pick-up and no tangle With the V50 Ultra, I got that and more at, what I feel, is an outstanding price. I also wound up getting a BUNCH of features I wasn’t looking for but are nice to have including a retractable LIDAR, hot water mop washing and hot air drying ( this REALLY helps the stink in the dirty water bin! ), better vertical clearance, etc. Unboxing and setup was a breeze, but what I noticed most when unboxing was a LOT OF SPARES!! Spare brush roll, spare mops, space vacuum bags, a large bottle of detergent (not a small sample size), a bottle of deodorizer, spare side brushes, etc. This was REALLY nice since, in the past, after I buy a robot, the FIRST thing I do is head to Amazon and buy spares. This will keep me up and running for a good long time. The initial quick map happened fast and without issue. It got every room. After naming and adjusting the rooms, I changed some settings in the app, programed some short cuts and schedules and let it do it’s thing. I haven’t set a SINGLE no go area and yet it runs without issue. This is BY FAR the easiest and most trouble-free robot vac I have ever setup. There are a few things I’ve noticed. 1) It’s doing a great job 2) Has never gotten stuck 3) Picks up cat hair clumps (those with Persians will understand this) where my Roborock would leave some 4) Obstacle avoidance seems to be working well, but to be honest, I don’t have a lot of clutter in my home 5) IT’S QUIET!! WHAT A PLEASURE THAT IS OVER MY LAST VACUUM!! I run my robots at 4AM to clean the house. My Roborock would sometimes wake me up. This machine is so quiet I can’t believe it has the power it does. Even the auto empty is quiet. When it's running it's day schedules and I'm in my office, I barely know it's running. So overall, I am EXTREMELY pleased with this machine and with MOVA in general! Well done!

Mova v50 first thoughts
The very first thing I noticed is that this vacuum is very heavy. For some reason the base and the vacuum itself are heavier than any of the other ones I've used so far. I have no idea why. I guess they must be packing a lot of additional features in the vacuum below the surface. As I messed around with the vacuum, I think I figured out a few of them. The thing I can't quite believe, even to this day, is just how many additional accessories this vacuum comes with. Mine came with 10 mop pads, three filters, two side brushes, three dust bags, a big bottle of cleaning solution, and a small bottle of Pet solution, and to top it all off it also came with an additional TroboWave brush roller. I still wonder if TroboWave was a typo for TurboWave that Mova decided to just go with after the initial batch was misprinted 😂. Either way, in my opinion, this is enough accessories to last over a year without having to buy anything else. The base station is what we've all come to expect from a high-end robot vacuum, it washes the mop pads with hot water, it dries them with hot air, it has a clean water tank, a dirty water tank, and a tank for cleaning detergent. This is where I found the first big surprise. The detergent tank has the ability to hold two different types of cleaning solution, one for normal floor cleaning solution, and one specifically for a Mova pet cleaning solution. I'll talk about ALL of the pet features later in the review, but needless to say, they are impressive. Once I clicked the vacuum into the base, it turned itself on and started to charge. I followed the instructions in the app to scan the QR code and set up the Wi-Fi. Setting up the Wi-Fi for this vacuum was the same as the Dreame app, and nearly the same as the eufy app. The v50 broadcasts its own Wi-Fi signal for setup. I did need to turn off the auto reconnect on my phone so that it would not jump back over to my home Wi-Fi during the setup, but I've heard others have had to do the same thing as well. The first thing the vacuum wanted to do was set up a bunch of the AI features and ask if I had pets in my home. I enabled all of the features, although I've heard that depending on your floor type, sometimes you need to disable the stain recognition so the vacuum doesn't get too confused with the pattern on the floor. I told the vacuum to go out and do its initial map of my main floor, I was extremely surprised how quickly it was able to map everything. I felt like it would barely enter a room before it would turn around and leave again. The onboard lidar and 3D structured light seem to do a very efficient job of mapping a room without having to cover every single corner. When the vacuum was done mapping, it did a fairly good job of breaking up the different rooms and correctly identifying them. It did have some problems recognizing my stairs going down into the basement, and try to name it as an additional bedroom. Luckily, the app is pretty good about letting you merge, divide, and hide rooms. I just clicked on “hide” for the spot over my stairs and it worked. I also discovered that if you have a floor-length mirror the lidar thinks there's a room beyond it. I don't know if this is an alternative dimension but I could never get the vacuum to go there 😉. I did notice that it's constantly updating its map and can make adjustments if things change between cleaning tasks. For example I accidentally left the door under the stairs open and it happily went in and mapped that little room after the initial mapping task. The X factor for all these Robot Vacuums is how well it recognizes stains and dirty spots so it can clean them again. The v50 excels at identifying and cleaning up spills and other little messes. Its AI can recognize 200 different objects and the 3D structured light keeps it from running into things in real time. The carpet cleaning seems pretty great too. The dual brush rollers seem to channel the dust and hair into the dust bin, and that empties into the base station. One kind of cool feature, the base station has the ability to dry the dust bin and the dust collection bag. I don't have a huge issue with humidity, but I can see how it could be great for others. The reason the V50 better fits my home is the pet features. Since we have three dogs, keeping the floors clean is a serious challenge—and an even bigger priority. The pet-specific cleaning features are probably what first attracted me to the MOVA V50. We were losing the war against our dogs pretty much every day. Between dirty paw prints, sticks, and other junk from the backyard, we were tired of cleaning. When we were setting up the V50, I already knew we had something different. At the end of every week, it sends you a notification to review your pet’s activity. It shows you the areas where your pets were most frequently seen, then offers to re-clean those spots with its special pet solution. If you're away from home, you can even ask the vacuum to find your pet. (I mostly use it like a game of hide and seek with my dogs now, but I can definitely see how others might use it to keep their pets out of trouble.) It can also detect where the dog dishes are and use extra suction to pick up the loose kibble that always ends up on the floor. Probably the most important pet-related feature so far is the AI obstacle recognition. That means when my 16-year-old dog has an accident on the tile, the vacuum (so far—crossing fingers) has been able to identify it and avoid it. That one feature alone is worth everything. While I mainly wanted to highlight the pet features in this post, I’ve got to mention how cool it is that the LiDAR sensor retracts so it can get under low furniture, and the StepMaster system lets it climb over thresholds and even the U-shaped bases of our bar stools. With some of my older vacuums I was just resigned to the fact that they would get stuck on things but the V50 has the ability to rescue itself using those retractable little Stepmaster legs. I know I've only had it for a week, and I'll keep testing it, but so far I'm a pretty big fan of the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. I personally feel the price point and the features make it hard to ignore, but the additional accessories make it nearly a must have.

Wanted to love it.
So disappointed because I loved this thing and all the things it does. It had an error after 2 weeks, a main brush error. I did everything I could to fix it....talked to support...they answered quickly and were helpful...tried everything they said and it still wouldn't work. They said that the quickest way to return it would be through Amazon since I only had it for 2-weeks. Originally thought I would return and replace then decided not to because now I just can't trust it anymore. I did research a lot before purchasing it that is why this is so disappointing. If you do decide to get it just make sure you set it up right away and test it before the Amazon return time runs out.

Works great with just a few issues
I’ve had the Mova v50 for a little over a month now and here are my thoughts. This is my first robot vacuum. I never really thought I’d have use for one until coming across a YouTube video about it. (Just A Dad Approved) This thing is so cool and was really impressed with the threshold jumping. It works great however none of my thresholds are particularly tall. Having a Great Pyrenees it was important for the robot to have good hair management. Hair has never gotten caught in the brush. Kind of amazing tbh. There can be a build up near wheels but it just pulls right out. It’s really quiet but can get loud when it auto adjusts to carpet. The mopping is good as well. I don’t think it completely replaces good ol elbow grease but definitely extends the time between manual mopping. It mapped quickly and some how knew what every room was used for (master bedroom, bathroom, dining room, etc). The app is okay. I think it could be a little more user friendly. It’s had a few issues docking and getting stuck if I forget to pick up phone chargers. It’s heavy and seems sturdy. I wish it didn’t take bags but you can get alternatives that are cheaper. The mop pads Velcro on and are washable. I just throw them in the washer. Overall it’s helped manage the dog hair and muddy paw prints. My wife was skeptical but she loves it now. I waited for a sale and snagged it for $800. Worth it for me.

So Much to Like, But.....
UPDATE: After much consideration and further positive interaction with Mova customer service, I have increased my original 3 star rating to 5 stars!!! If you need expedient and positive action from the Mova company, I am extremely confident you will find it with Mova....they stand behind their products!!! After much research for my first vac mop combo robot within my midrange budget, I chose the Mova V50 Ultra Complete. Along with the many reviews that raved about this unit, I was also impressed with the only 3 year warranty out there and the massive accessory kit. And it was ordered! I received my first Mova V50 in early May, very excited for it's receipt. Sadly disappointment! My first unit gave me vibes that it was used/had been returned, but couldn't tell for sure, so unpacked it, set it up and started using. Setup was easy, mapping was accurate and quick! I chose to vacuum first but it seemed to get lost a few times and had difficulty putting itself back in the dock. I then tried the mopping function. No water would come onto the mop pads. I contacted customer service (more on this later) and did some self research and found out sometimes the internal pump required priming. I followed these instructions and with much effort, finally was able to get a bit of water flow. However, mopping was mostly dry and robot continued to have extreme navigation difficulty, spinning around and not docking. I contacted Mova as I found out I was unable to return this unit to Amazon--should have been more careful on this. At the time, the white unit could be returned to Amazon, but not the black unit I had ordered....Mmmmmm. Anyway, Mova sent me a shipping label to return unit and then sent me another unit. Received the next unit in mid-May--upon unpacking the 2nd unit, I definitely could tell my 1st unit was not new. With that, was excited to test out this 2nd unit. As before, set it up, mapped my home and decided to vacuum first. This unit is a vacuuming beast!!! It expertly vacuumed not only my LVP, but was incredibly impressive with my rooms equipped with pile carpeting! Just WOW! Now for mopping, which was the whole reason I was in the market for a unit of this type in the first place. Again, had to prime the pump, but it went a bit smoother. I sent it on its way and it did a fairly good job, but after a few passes, it began to dry mop. As advised by customer service, I adjusted settings, tested several different rooms, etc., but never could get this unit to supply enough water to the mop pads to do a decent mopping. After about 6 weeks of testing, I never could get the mopping function to work properly. I finally gave in--Mova offered a refund or another unit. I chose the refund. The 2nd unit could also have been defective as there are numerous youtube videos showing how great it mops, but I did not want to try a third time. A few things before you make a decision based on this review: 1. Customer Service: A definite 10 out of 5!!! Mova customer service is absolutely the best! I communicated with them through their email support and had approximately 65 back and forth emails. I always received communication within 24 hours, but usually much less than that. They were kind, understanding, considerate and helpful! I really wanted to stay with Mova! 2. Vacuuming: Again, a definite 10 out of 5!!! I base this mostly on it's suction power on pile carpeted rooms. 3. Mapping/Navigation: Did a great job and would rate it 5 out of 5. 4. Mop washing: The dock is well designed and the mops were expertly washed and dried! In addition, another reason I chose this model was it's ability to leave the mop pads behind when choosing to vacuum only--never had an issue with this function! 5. Noise: This robot is whisper quiet! 10 out of 5!!! 6. App Control: Very well designed! So many options! All in all, I think this is a great unit and the Mova company is absolutely great to work with, but the mopping function failed for me. Again, maybe I received a defective unit, but after receiving unit 1, which I suspected was used, and then unit 2 had mopping issues (pump problems??), I was over it and needed to move on. The return process with both units to Mova was hassle free and Mova promptly refunded my money. Great company! I will be watching for new releases from Mova!

Mova V50 Ultra Complete – Worth Every Penny for Disabled Households & Pet Owners!
I received my Mova V50 Ultra Complete just a few days ago, and I’m already blown away. This vacuum is in a completely different league compared to my previous robot vacuum. As someone with a movement disorder, I need a reliable “set it and forget it” cleaner, and this one delivers. My husband is a disabled veteran, so ease of use is essential for both of us. I was initially hesitant because I had read complaints about the app, but after using it (I test for Apple and my tech-savvy husband has also tried it), I actually love how many options it has — especially the pet-specific settings. Yes, there are a lot of settings, but that’s a good thing. It’s easy to research them online or ask AI for recommendations tailored to your home. The cleaning performance is impressive. My old vacuum was constantly bumping into things and missing debris. The Mova navigates smoothly, auto-recognizes most carpets, and has excellent carpet boost. The map is much easier to customize than my last robot, and I love that it handles doorway transitions well. It also has a genius mode that automatically adjusts suction or lets you customize cleaning per room/area. The build and accessories are generous. It’s a larger unit, but the water tanks are excellent. What really stood out is everything that comes in the box: full bottles of regular and pet cleaning solution, extra brushes, extra mop pads, and extra dust bags. That kind of value is rare. It’s also extremely quiet — a huge plus because I’m very sensitive to noise. I love the thoughtful features like the live camera (great for checking on pets or spotting obstacles/cords), the child lock, adjustable voice volume, and voice control. You can even lower the mop pads in the base while it continues vacuuming. The AI features are smart too — it recognizes large dust particles, and you have full control over mop pad drying time, sterilization temperature, floor water temperature, and deep clean options. I was nervous about the price after being disappointed by previous vacuums, but this one has already exceeded my expectations. I’m seriously considering buying a second one for downstairs. The lifting function for tight spaces and the swing-out brush for edge-to-edge and baseboard cleaning are fantastic bonuses. All in all, the Mova V50 Ultra is an outstanding product that has made my life noticeably easier. Highly recommend!

literally laughed when it climbed over the threshold
The biggest pain point with my old robot vacuum wasn’t suction — it was the damn threshold to my balcony. Every single time I had to pick it up and carry it over, at which point I might as well sweep the floor myself. When I saw the V50 advertised “6cm obstacle climbing,” I honestly didn’t buy it. Then on the very first mapping run, it just… lifted itself up and walked over. My husband and I sat on the couch watching it like our kid had just learned to walk. Suction is exactly what you’d expect from the spec sheet — 24,000Pa is no joke. Cat hair on the rug, sunflower seed shells, stray grains of rice, all gone in one pass. What actually surprised me more was the self-cleaning HEPA filter. Every robot I’ve owned before noticeably loses suction after a month or two. This one still feels brand new. The trick where the base station blows exhaust air back through the filter to dislodge dust is genuinely clever engineering. Two things worth flagging for pet households specifically: • Dual cleaning solution tanks. Tank A holds the regular formula, Tank B holds the pet-specific one for handling odors. My dog has the occasional accident on the edge of the living room rug — used to mean me on my knees with paper towels. Now I just run a mop cycle and the smell is genuinely gone, not just masked. • Auto mop detachment for carpets. When it hits carpet, it doesn’t just lift the pads — it actually leaves them at the base station. Lifted mops still drip. Removed mops don’t. Big difference if you have any rugs you care about. The app is cleaner than Roborock’s, in my opinion. Setting up rooms, virtual walls, and schedules is intuitive. You can also kick off a clean from your Apple Watch with one tap, which is dangerously convenient. Honest gripes: • Battery life is just okay. My ~1400 sq ft place requires one mid-job recharge to finish a full vacuum + mop cycle. • Obstacle avoidance isn’t elite. It’ll still drive over a stray charging cable or a sock if you leave one out, so a quick pre-clean tidy is still smart. • The base station is big. You need to give it a real home, not just shove it in a corner. But overall, at this price point you’re getting genuinely flagship-tier features. The threshold-climbing, self-cleaning filter, and pet-specific cleaning solution are the three things that sold me. If you’ve got thresholds, pets, or rugs in your house — this is an easy recommendation.

Great value and top notch cleaning ability
I’ve had the MOVA V50 for about a week now, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it’s kept up with the house. We have two dogs, including a Bernese Mountain Dog that sheds a tremendous amount of long hair, and this robot has had no trouble keeping the floors clean. It picks up the hair exceptionally well without leaving little “tootsie rolls” of dog hair behind like my old Shark did. Even better, there has been virtually no hair wrapped around the brush rollers thanks to the dual-roller design. The mopping performance has also exceeded my expectations. The floors always look fresh, and the dock does an excellent job washing the mop pads with warm water and drying them afterward, so they’re always clean and ready for the next run. The cleaning solution has a pleasant scent without being overpowering, and it leaves the floors looking spotless. The dock itself is one of the standout features. It automatically empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop pads, and handles nearly all of the routine maintenance. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into its design, and it makes owning the robot almost effortless. The app is excellent as well. Mapping was fast and surprisingly accurate, and customizing the cleaning routine is incredibly easy. You can divide rooms, rename them, adjust room boundaries, choose the cleaning order, customize vacuum and mopping settings for each room, and create schedules that fit exactly how you use your home. After just a week of use, my floors have never looked better. Instead of constantly trying to catch up with pet hair and dust, the robot keeps everything maintained every day. It has dramatically reduced the amount of work I have to do, and my weekly deep vacuum with my Kirby has already been noticeably easier because the robot has been keeping up with the day-to-day mess. I did have to exchange my first unit because there was a defect but customer service was very helpful in trying to troubleshoot and when they said it was defective they said send it back for a replacement. I would not hesitate to buy another product from this company.

MOVA V50 is top tier!!
We love this MOVA V50 robot vacuum. It’s our second MOVA robot we got for our finished basement. We love how easy the mapping is with MOVA home app, and how all my products are available in the one app. This model does such a great job on our laminate floors and carpets, and handles the threshold into our bathroom much easier than I thought it would! Highly recommend!
