How to install the shades? Are the shades easy to clean?

The shades hook onto the bulb from up top. You can use a microfiber towel and warm water.

Can this chandelier be used without the light shades and instead E12 bulbs?

You can use just bulbs.This pendant light looks great in our dining room. I wanted something modern but I also wanted shades because I don’t like glare in my eyes while eating.

No dear, this is 110V -120V, could not use on 220V.
