Nice and stylish watch. Fast delivery.
I like that it has a perpetual calendar and an alarm, but it's not very easy to read.

Just another great piece from Seiko
This is just another awesome watch from one of the most recognizable brands in the industry. I had set out to buy something resembling an Omega Speedmaster professional, and I think this is probably the best option among Seiko's current offerings. There's a lot to like about this watch. I've never owned a perpetual calendar, but it adds a lot of convenience not having to adjust the date at the end of every month. Battery life is great at 5 years, as opposed to the usual 3 years for most quartz movements. A one-time alarm can be set for any time up to 24 hours in the future. Most importantly, this is a sweeping-seconds hand chronograph, and can time for up to 24 hours, and has a split function that can be used in conjunction with the start-stop function.I'm not sure why this watch isn't more expensive.

Perfect
Great complex watch, it's difficult to see the time but I think it is the only con about the watch

I'm blue, because it isn't.
The dial may or may not have a blue tone? To me, it looks black! This watch was selected to add some blue to my collection. That aside, it has a lot of features. Seiko somewhere along the way decided to make the watch's large second hand into the function pointer. It has a small red half circle on one end that point to the date, month, and leap year, as you cycle through pushing the mode button. When you go to the stopwatch mode, then the second hand becomes just that, it points to the seconds as it sweeps around. The actual time second hand is in the small left dial.Lots of features, including an alarm. It wasn't blue to look at, but I kept it for its overall features and appearance.

Difficult to read
I wanted a chronograph with the ability to time an event longer than one hour. But I also wanted a perpetual calendar, I hate having to adjust the date when a month has less than 31 days. I was also seeking a watch where I could actually read the date, most of today's calendar watches have date windows so small that the date is impossible to read. This watch seemed to have it all, a 24 hour stop watch, a perpetual calendar, and based on the pictures the date was readable. The description claims that the watch has a blue dial, and in bright light the dial has a dark bluish tone, but most of the time it simply appears black. While the watch has a lot of functions, and they work as they should, most of the dial's markings are extremely small and difficult to read under normal lighting. The inner ring of numbers containing the dates is very small and hard to read; reading this ring is made more difficult by the fact that the red crescent moon on the end of the second hand doesn't have enough contrast to standout against the dark blue face. The numbers for the Tachymeter on the outer ring are interspaced with the watch’s minute marks making both very difficult to ascertain.Prospective buyers should be aware that this is a large watch weighing over a third of a pound. The manual that comes with this watch isn’t the easiest to decipher and there are a number of steps involved in setting this watch’s time. Besides the minute and hour hands on the main dial there are the minute and hour hands on the small alarm dial. To complicate things, the alarm dial is in 24-hour format and very small. The alarm dial must be set to the exact time as the main dial. My month was properly set but not the date, and the sweep second hand needed aligning with the twelve o’clock position. When the watch arrived I was anxious to wear it but it didn't fit, but a quick trip to my jeweler's and that was remedied; negating the watch’s return. It was over the ensuing days that I discovered that under normal indoor lighting the watch is difficult if not impossible to read.If I could I would return this watch. If I wasn't living on a fixed income, I probably would donate it to the Salvation Army, and order the Spc123p1. Which is basically the same watch with a white face. I believe that watch would be easier to read as there appears to be more contrast on the dial. I do like the features of the “Spc” models. I almost ordered the Spc123p1 in the first place, my mistake.

Man sieht nichts.Alles andere weckt pure Begeisterung hervor.
