Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal Bundle with Roland GA-FC Cube Foot Controller and Austin Bazaar Polishing Cloth

I have a collection of Roland processors and pedals and I love all but this one. To use the expression pedal you literally have to plug your amp into your computer.They have an expression pedal port and it won’t work until you assign it to an effect from your laptop. A phone app would have made more sense, and adding the ability to toggle on the pedal (or at least default settings for wah) would have made much more sense. The whole point of a pedal is that you can quickly switch between effects with your foot easily—this pedal doesn’t allow for that. Imagine wanting to change your settings live at a show or at an expensive recording session and having to say, “Sorry guys, let me start my computer, update the patches, and we’ll get playing in the next 20 minutes or so… anyone have a USB printer cable I can borrow?”The software doesn’t seem to be compatible with my laptop and so I’ll need to uninstall and reinstall it all over again and hope it works.It is my dream to be hired by Roland just for one day so that I can fire whoever was the project manager on this pedal.

The footswitch does not work with the Katatana 50 watt combo..no GA-FC jack. It does work on another amp I have though. So no biggie lol. But the expression/volume pedal does. I like the level knob which is great for dialing in minimum level of sound. So you can go max to none, max to very little, etc.

This foot controller and volume pedal are a great deal, and an absolute must if you own a Boss Katana 100 amp. It allows you 4 channels at a time (8 total) as well as selectable effects.
