Philips 700-Watt Food Processor (HL1660)

Good product quality. using it for over 15 days now, got it during offer period, though still waiting for cashback. Had lot of study of other FP available in market, decided to go for this one.pros:1. 700W powerful motor, does chopping, slicing within fraction of seconds2. very good for dough kneading, hardly takes a minute or two. Once you know exact quantity of water and operation technique (few pulses in the end) dough will be very natural and wont stick to jar even a bit, no need to lubricate jar with oil to avoid sticking of dough making easy to clean.3. Muti purpose steel jar can be used as chutney jar. It is medium size jar. I tried grinding two medium size green chills it worked fine, can make chutney in small quantities.4. Suction bush in bottom for firm grip during operations5. Well thought safety features.6. Compact body unlike other bulky FP in market7. It is Made in India. So our money wont go to China for anti-national activities.Cons.1. Wished for somewhat longer cable2. Multi purpose metal jar don't have sneak peak on lid cover, we have to open for checking if work done properly or not.3. Moderately noisy.4. Not much variety blades given, only two blades one for slicing and other for grating. Slicing size is not too thin, or too thick, good for those who like to enjoy onion/tomato slices like restaurant. Hope Philips makes more blades available in market.Considering quality and other features these are not a deal breaker though.Saves lot of time in kitchen. Compared to other brands review, found it worth investing.

Updated as per usage on 20-Apr.Changing the rating from 5 start to 1 star after usage of couple of months.Recently I started getting problem with the Main glass jar. Raised complaint to Philips call center. First of all I had to spend more than 10 min waiting to get the call responded. Then even after 5 days of raising the complaint twice, neither I got the call back from technician not Philips people cared to get it resolved.I would recommend to go with other brands which provides quality product and also better services.------------------Was using inalsa earlier and it lasted for over 8 years. Wanted to try different and hence bought this.This food processor is stylish and you can feel that you are using premium product.Machine is powerful, accessories are enough for the daily usage that We have. Preparing dough and using centrifugal juices are two top usages and gets perfectly done.I rarely give 5 stars but this product deserves it.

**~ Mixers and processors are always our kitchen investment as they need to be purchased with analysing our needs and the uses.I bought this Philips food processor as I wanted to see what it feels like using a processor after all these years of using a blender and a grinder.I’d say I have invested in a good product.its been used every three or four days a week and it’s good going. The motor is quite powerful and blends everything in a matter of seconds.Hummus, choco spread , tahini, peanut and almond butter turn out to be great-they turn out smoother than what would have been in a mixer.It’s comfortable to work with and the manual really helps in assembling.So far I’ve used only the blender and the processor and it’s going good.cant say the same about the atta kneader cuz I haven’t used it yet.

I m posting this after use of almost a month. Find good in its job. Does it execilent. For juice purpose it's good as it doesn't crushes the seed and its centrifugal method extract good. Apart from complain regarding quality, I personally felt good and sometimes it may due mishandling during transportation... From my side a big yes to go for it....

Plastic material is not so sturdy. Check with your local service provider. Its parts are not easily available. The control for auto off (ie when jar is removed motor stops) feature caused issues for me for second time. Check in the local market for which food processor service is easily available near by. There are better option available in market. Better Ascertain Just Actual Job provider.

It would have been better if they supplied with variable size for - shredder, grater, slicer attachments; also it would have been better if they have provided with at least one small chutney jar for small quantity, although there is multipurpose jar. The juicing from the juicer attachment is not good in terms of quality and quantity. Philips used to have their statement saying " let's make things better"! but somewhere they were not up to it, although they have their presence all over the world with more better quality product. They really need to think of it seriously or provide alternate say additional attachments or jar one can purchase for the same if needed. Hope they would consider the suggestions and keep delivering better things.

Working around the kitchen has become so much easier for a novice chef like me thanks to this food processor. Chopping, grating, batter preparation, puree preparation are some of the things I have tried. Yet to try atta kneading and juicer attachment. But I am very happy with the performance.
