I researched this product many times, but never bought it. The crazy thing is my car is a honda civic 96 EX. I learned that it was manufactured differently from like most of the other Civic's. There is only 3% of mines that was manufactured. This meant that the normal K & N filter 33-2120 didn't fit my car. So after ordering the wrong one told by the website and having to go to other sources. I learned this was the correct part. Installation was easy. I noticed instantly that my car is running smoother and has a little more pick up. I will monitor how it does with my gas mileage in the next the couple of weeks. I am happy after my hard work and I like this product.Only con: It was BS having to find the right one and don't completely rely on Amazon's garage to say if it fits your car.

That's a very good product from K&N, the throttle response felt a lot better than when it was with the stock paper filter, also felt a slight improvement in power and sounds, installation was straight forward.

GREAT FILTER. IT WON'T INCREASE POWER UNLESS YOUR OLD FILTER IS CLOGGED, OR YOUR CLEAN PAPER FILTER IS THE MAIN RESTRICTION IN YOUR INTAKE. IT WON'T GIVE YOU BETTER FUEL ECONOMY IF YOU INSTALL IN A FUEL INJECTED ENGINE. THE ON BOARD COMPUTER COMPENSATES FOR VARIATIONS IN OXYGEN INTAKE. BUT INSTALL ON A ENGINE WITH A CARBURETOR AND YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE. I PURCHASED THIS FILTER BECAUSE I DRIVE ABOUT 100,000 MILES A YEAR. IT IS MORE COST EFFECTIVE TO CLEAN AND REUSE THIS FILTER THAN IT IS REPLACING A PAPER FILTER 10 TIMES A YEAR. EVERYBODY SHOULD INSTALL K&N FILTERS. YOU BUY IT ONCE. IT WILL OUTLAST THE CAR. YOU WILL NEVER NEED TO BUY ANOTHER AIR FILTER EVER, EVER AGAIN!

I can never go wrong with a K&N filter. I wish they can be a little cheaper. I can go for a long time with mileage before I can even think about cleaning the filter with the cleaning kit, and the filter will still perform the same.

K&N has always made exceptional air filters that DONT void your warranty

I bought this 4.5 years ago, and it still works great. I've put 70,000 miles on my civic with this installed, and I cleaned and re-oiled it at 50,000 miles as the box suggests. I don't know if I saw a mpg increase when I first installed the K&N, but I have never seen my mileage go down due to this being dirty. Over time it has paid for itself. If you plan to keep your car for a while, put a K&N filter in it.

The air filter is of very good quality compared to the previous disposable one that I had in my car. I like the fact that it is washable and reusable although the re-oiling also costs money. The company claims that the filter efficiency is good and the air flow is better, which in theory would increase the engine output and gas mileage.
