Essential power sensor for older Elite trainers
I have an older turbo muin direct-drive fluid trainer, and was using the echowell sensor recommended at the time - which effectively locks you into software rpm->power conversion... ie the elite training app. This sensor does the calculation on the fly: hub RPM to speed and power, and thus outputs as a power meter. Albeit you dont get L/R power as its at-hub rather than at-crank.The sensor also outputs speed/cadence on a single ANT/BT channel.Works great on older garmin headsets (910 and 310), but I also have a fenix 6 watch, and it doesnt work great with that: I can only get power as I already have a "cadence" sensor... and the newer fenix's dont let you split device channels like say the 910xt does.Wish id bought it sooner... ive been training using wattbikes at the gym pre-lockdown... and my W is a bit lower (less training) but feels relatively similar to the effort going in on a wattbike. Of course purely anecdotal with no scientific comparison at all! :)UPDATE:Down to 3* (and not entirely the sensors fault...IMO). Discovered that its not 100% compatible with the newer garmin devices... This sensor outputs spd/cadence on same profile channel (but cadence means nothing as its actually hub-rpm for use by the Elite-app directly), so if you have a cadence sensor on your crank then newer Garmins dont let you configure what sensor to take what individual reading from (the old 910xt does). I'm currently battling to convince Garmin that their beloved Fenix 6 range has a bit of a bug in the software

Work as intended on my Elite Rollers, now Smart(ish)
Work as intended, but you need to Google instructions.Device does Blue tooth and Ant+ but only 1 at a time. Once connected to say your Garmin via Ant+ will not connect to Blue tooth. I think its a better device connected to an Ipad than to Garmin. The Elite App works really well nice and simple and can upload and email resulting workouts to you tracker sites or Garmin connect via a FIT file upload. Not sure I'd use the pay for elements in the Elite App though.
