So close...
What a great concept, and the tent overall was good quality and the right size, but for some reason they tried to make the rear "air pole" do too much and loop back and up and around which in our case caused kinking that needed to be manipulated to make it stand up. Soem of it was hard to get to. By the time you messed wioth all of this you might as well have just used regualr poles.I really wanted this tent to work, but had to return.

Stick with a normal tent
I usually like Kelty products but man. It's harder to put up that a regular tent, heavier, needs to be staked into the groundand then you can't really see anything when in the tent. Oh, and there's no ground cover, so you need one of those too.great idea, but stick with a normal tent

Well built tent, just hot
The tent went up easy but it doesn't have good airflow during the day. It is not something you would want to stay in during summer months.

Easy to setup
The tent is very quick & easy to setup once you figure out. It is not hard, but the external rain fly (that is attached to the tent & can't be removed) makes it a bit confusing when staking the tent. It is manditory to stake the tent prior to inflating it. Any of the people who have had difficulties during setup have not staked it first. There are ~ 8 stakes for the base of the tent, and about thevsamefor the external ties. You can setup & use the tent without staking the external tie lines (they are just there to open up ventilation pockets). Our 2nd setup was completed within about 3 minutes- very quick for a tent this size, and we are not experts. The tent is very spacious. The storage area in the front is wonderful.I have 2 complaints with this tent (but they were not enough for me to return it).1) the ventilation is minimal. It has been good this fall, but it will likely be too warm in the summer (80 degrees plus).2) both the exterior door separating the storage area and the inner door separating the sleeping area from the storage area do not have any ventilation. A screen on the exterior door would make the storage area more useful to use as a screen porch / keep the bugs out. A screen on the inner door would provide quite a bit more ventilation to the sleeping area. Neither of these are shown well in any of the pictures. The tent is a great concept, but could be improved upon with some minor tweaks from the manufacturer.

Used tent in extreme weather conditions for 2 weeks and was pleased with the tent's performance. I especially liked the "garage" feature and the "liveability" of the tent.Camped on St George Island FL, a barrier island 4 miles off shore, temp range 31 to 70 degrees, wind gusts to 35mph, 6 " rainstorm, 2 tornados and 2 water spouts during the 2 week period. The front storage (garage) area allows you to keep all gear, including your bike, inside. The salt air is corrosive on the equipment, so the extra protection is great and also very roomy. The opening between the "garage" and sleeping area is large enough that, when opened, give the tent a large living area. A screened area on the front tent opening would be nice in warm weather. The frame is very sturdy and retains air pressure. Definitely recommend setting up, at home, before the first time you use it. Also recommend a Kelty foot print which gives the garage area a "floor". A Great Tent.

Good concept, bad in practice
I'm not a camper, but I got invited on a camping trip with three of my young boys, and we decided to go. I didn't have a tent, so I first went to the Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops websites to see what was out there. It was overwhelming, to say the least. The one I wanted at Cabela's was not in stock, so, with time short, I went to Amazon.I tend to obsess about purchases I don't know anything about. As a result, I agonized over all the tents and finally decided on this one, mainly after watching the video that showed what appeared to be a very simple setup. The tent came the day I was leaving, and I opened it for the first time at the campsite. To my surprise, it came without instructions and I was left to fend for myself. Thankfully, I had my iPhone, and I was able to find the instructions on the Internet. I followed them to a "T," and it took well over 30 minutes to even try to get this thing up. The main problem was, the air pump hose did not "affix" to the air chamber, as it appears in the video. Rather, it's a pressure fitting that you "jam" into the air chamber. Well, mine could not be jammed into the air chamber and stay there, thus making this impossible to put up by myself - I would have had to hold the hose in place with one hand and pump with the other, but, since I'm not a contortionist, I couldn't do that. With TWO of my son's help - one holding the hose in the chamber and one "directing" the air chambers, we "kind of" got it up. Hardly a "less than one minute" process.Long story short, it didn't/wouldn't stay up, so, finally, I just gave up.I can say that IF this were to work, it's a pretty neat product. Unfortunately, this one didn't (maybe the hose part I got was somehow the wrong size?), and, well, I'll be returning it. I just hope that they don't give me a hard time because it's out of the box and, obviously, "used," in that it's been inflated (at least partially).

busted
We recieved the tent and were really excited. started to set it up and find out we have a leak. patched the leak like the instuctions say to and it was fine. get to our destination the next day and set it back up and it has another leak in the same general area! willing to give it a second try but am really skeptical over it right now.

Awesome tech
FAST and easy setup, BUT you really need to do a test run at home first to get the hang of staking out the floor properly. HUGE interior space for all your stuff. Ideal for BURNING MAN because the AIRPITCH poles snap right back upright when the wind subsides. NO MORE broken tent poles
