Excellent value replacement battery
Arrived on time, as described. When I opened the box, I immediately put the battery on charge to ensure a full charge first run test. I couldn't run to full discharge, hence the three stars for longevity, will post a follow up for that aspect. It took appox. 1/2 hr to fully charge with a standard charger. I ran it consecutively for at least 45min with no loss of power or other issues in both my drills(drilling up to 1/2" holes & screwing in drywall screws up to 2 1/2" in 2×4 pine)and a few cuts with my reciprocating saw on same. I solved the battery getting stuck in tools issue by replacing the top of the battery with my old Dewalt battery cover. This seems to have cured that as it slides in and back out easily now. I did notice that this battery is slightly(1/4"?, didn't measure) taller than the original and does cause some binding in the drill case. So far, a very good and cost effective replacement Dewalt battery. With a pass on further testing, I will buy a couple more. I will run it through a few cycles and see how it holds up and post a follow up review on longevity and duribility.

OK for the money but battery needs to quick fix. Read on.
Like other's review of the battery. The side tab's on the battery, used for removing the unit from the tool, does not work well at all. I spent considerable time attempting to remove the battery from my Dewalt circular saw, having to use a flat head screwdriver to finally remove it. After happening many times I closely looked into the issue and found what the China product line problem was that differed from a standard Dewalt battery. The side tabs have a very small rim of molded plastic that runs along the inside of the tabs, that isn't in the Dewalt battery. That small rim actually prevents the tabs from actuating for removal of the battery. The fix for people that have that issue is this: I personally used a Dremel mini sander disc to litely sand down that small ridge on both tabs. You have to sand, insert the battery and try, then sand again until you remove that rim enough for the tabs to be pushed in enough to pull the battery from the tool. If you don't have a Dremel I suggest attempting using some sandpaper folded enough to perform the sanding to remove that little slight rim edging. It works, and now I will not be reluctant to purchase these El-cheapo batteries for use in the future. Their nothing like original equipment manufactured (OEM) but you also pay 1/4 the cost. Hope this review will help you out.

Don't waist your money
Thought I would try this out. Runs out really quick. I've charged this Dewalt 18 volt replacement battery 3 times and still won't last anywhere close to the real battery. Really strong in the beginning then dies out. I've used it with both a drill and a saws. What a Disappointment

Was cautious...but its so great.
I was cautious in buying this, as its not a Dewalt. However, we needed a new battery pack for a large household project.Works great. Great life. No complaints.

Great for what I need it for
This is a low quality battery, but suspected as much because of how little it costs. I’m a professional tradesperson with over 35 years experience. I rarely need the drill and when I do I don’t need it for extended periods of time, but when I need it, I need it. The original battery still holds a charge but runs out quick, but it also charges quick, so I just needed a battery for a back-up.

Digging this as an alternative to the expensive ones..
For someone who occasionally uses their cordless Dewalt tools like me, you probably have batteries that never seem to charge or have poor performance.. I think I paid $100 for 2 of them the last time as one of the big box stores. Seems like a RIP off as I maybe use them a handful of times before they went bad.. Found this little beauty and I must say for the price, they aren't bad at all.. holds a great charge now six months in and a fraction of the price.. If you are a contractor or laborer then you probably will need something more beefier but if you only need this for occasional around the house type things give it a look.. Really bought it thinking it would peter out in no time at price, but have pleasantly surprised..

Charged up and works in Dewalt drill
These 18v batteries are old tech and OEM replacement prices have gone way up in the past 5. This replacement charged fine and worked in an 18V Dewalt drill. Can't speak to longevity but initial use is good.
