5504GML10 Beta Prime Glass Primer, 10 mL

Not much to say, it does exactly what it's supposed to do when used as designed. Forms a strong bond to substrate as a primer.

You have to be ginger with this product or it will get all over the place. The applicator will wear out by the time you're finished covering the whole window as it's made with a light foam. All in all it's a great product that is a must IMO. I installed the same slider on my truck weeks earlier w/o this primer and it didn't hold even with sealant that advertised as having the primer in the seal. I ended up just getting the window seal from AutoZone for the same price that it can be found here. Seems to work great with this primer.

To open the tube you screw the cap (with sponge) all the way on. The cap punctures the tube when you do this. I held the sponge end over some cardboard and started rolling the tube from the end until the sponge started dripping. Then I blotted the sponge on the cardboard to remove excess. The primer is pretty much as runny as water and is black. I ran a coat of primer on the glass and on the vehicle flange. It dried very quickly. In fact, the main ingredient is MEK. If you don't keep the sponge saturated as you use it the sponge will stick to the surface you are coating and it will pull out. Squeeze as you go all all will be well.

Worked fine, except the applicator tip, can fall off it your're not careful.

I was looking for a small amount of primer in this fit the bill perfectly. I didn't want to spend three times that amount for some 3M primer than I would never use. I replaced the driver side quarter panel window in my 2003 Suburban and this work perfectly to prime areas that had been scraped cleaned down to the metal when removing the other adhesive. Great applicator and dries quickly.

bought two of these to install my sprinter mercedez sprinter crew and sliding door windows. they worked as intended.

BE WARNED -- if using on a vertical surface (e.g. for a window on the side of a van), this stuff runs super easily and you will have a heart attach when a 12" run instantly bonds to the paint on the side of your vehicle. If this happens to you, let it dry and then use some polishing compound with a microfiber cloth to gently polish it off. Isopropyl, mineral spirits, glass cleaner, etc. do nothing to remove it, it has to be mechanically sanded away.

Easy to apply, makes adhesive really stick, cleans while preparing glass, applicator makes use very easy. Liked price, shipped quickly.
