I loved the convenience of it mixing and pounding however it took me a while to figure the instructions out. I needed help to interpret the instructions in Japanese. Other than that, the quality was great. It was shipped automatically from Abroad and made it within a week!

It works well once I got the translation into English I love it it turned out really good

I purchased this mochi maker for a family member who has always used Tiger brand and thought because Zojirushi is such a reputable company this would be an "upgrade." However, upon the second attempt of using the machine, she reports that the rice is no longer cooking and over the course of a week of attempts she cannot get it to work. Upon contacting Zojirushi and asking for English instructions or customer support, they replied that this model has no customer support outside of Japan! Disappointed that I spent so much for a machine that only worked one time and very upset that my family member is disappointed! Even if the problem is operator error I don't understand why a company would sell a product internationally without providing customer support to that country.

I'd give this a 5, but there is no support outside of Japan. Works perfectly once you trial and error your way through it.
