2.5gpm is plenty of flow. This is the best rain head we've had in 10yrs of that style. Rinse the soap off in seconds. This one is also peculiar that the water does not spray, but literally falls like rain. Most spray the water and then the water holds onto the nozzles when the water is shut off. This one allows the water to pull back into the head and drain out of the tub faucet. The benefit of this is that the water doesn't hang onto the nozzles and create a film. After 2 weeks, the face of the shower head still has zero water spots, calcium build up, or film. It looks like I just installed it. And by the water falling instead of spraying, the steam/mist is half what the prior rain can emitted. The bathroom is cleaner as a result.

I bought this shower head in October 2024, and it worked well for the first year. After that, the water started spraying in different directions one nozzle at a time. Now the water sprays everywhere instead of flowing straight down, and it's even leaking from the seam where the top and bottom parts connect. What's even more disappointing is that this shower is rarely used. I honestly regret buying this product. If you're considering it, think twice.
