What a pleasant surprise these actually work for me
Even though I'm female I took a chance and bought these for indoor outdoor wear. I wanted the ladies but read that they were too small for American feet. I broke my ankle years ago and all the slippers I've had ending up hurting my feet plus getting worn out too soon because I'd have to go out in the grass in a hurry to check on pet chickens that would start warning of hawks or fox or whatever. These so far being wood are great the shoes I mean

Amazing quality
I purchased the ceremonial kimono and shoes for my daughters in-laws because their senior club has theme dances and they have a Japanese one coming up in February. They really loved them. Only down side is you need to practice walking in them.

Not a good product
It broke after only a few months. It’s not well made.

These type slippers may work for foam sensitive, spasm, tingling feet.
I live in NY, and I have never worn Japanese wooden clogs slippers sandals. I have feet condition!, which does not allow me wearing any foam type sandals, so I tried these - as wooden like, almost walking on floor.I am a male, and size 9-9.5, so size 43 was somewhat small in length, so reordered 44. My wide feet fit ok. The slippers are glide on top- if you do not take into account almost invisible wooden dents, as that's the way they were cut!?. ( see image). No arch support. It's unusual to adjust walking in them. They do make some knocking sound too.

Dye bleeds
Your feet/socks turn black after wearing them for a little time. Then with all the bleeding the color of the shoe is no longer black. Other than that, they are about what you expect.

Wood slippers in style!
Surpringly weighs nothing! Size runs smaller than your regular shoe size.

Four Stars
Look great but very tight on the feet and shorter than anticipated.
