I would buy this over ANY OTHER webcam!
I can describe this camera in one word - AMAZING! The camera is a fantastic price for great quality, full 1080p Video, good quality sound, excellent plug and play compatibility, portable, lightweight, stable and all round perfect use. When looking in the box, you get a nice, simple, easy to follow instruction guide, As well as the camera with a decent length of good quality USB cable. The camera is easy to set up, simply mount the camera on top of your monitor or laptop or even on your desk, and plug into a USB port - The rest happens automatically and is easily detected by all types of video software (E.g. OBS, Skype, Messenger etc). One thing that I particularly like about this camera is the auto focus function which keeps me in focus all the time - unlike some brands which I’ve had in the past where the autofocus is poor! The camera also works particularly well in lower light conditions, such as Skype in a poorly lit room. I’ve also performed some video recording with this camera, and I found that the colour balance is great, in comparison to some other cameras which the colour balance is poor or distorted. I cannot fault this camera at all, and I would urge anyone who needs a webcam to buy one from this seller!

Worked nicely until I moved to windows 11
I bought this in 2019 and used it to livestream concerts and, during lockdown, classes. Quality is good and it's got good depth of field so everything is in focus.I've just pulled it out to use on a Windows 11 machine as I'm hoping to use it as part of my gear when streaming a conference event. Not recognised by the computer, and I can't find any drivers online. I've just tested it on a Windows 10 machine and it still works absolutely fine. Shame really. Now I'll have to but something new.Interstingly, the one I bought (well, two actually) didn't have a build in privacy cover, so I wonder if it's changed in spec slightly since I got mine.

Value for money webcam. No frills, but does the job
I bought this webcam for zoom meetings at work.It is a very simple plug and play device. I have used it a few times and it seems to work well enough. The only issue is that the lens protector falls off easily and it just balances on top of my PC, there is no way to secure it. It hasn't fallen off mid zoom yet though. It is a basic model but does the job and good for the money. The image is good quality and the mic seems ok so no real issues.

HD Telescope Webcam
I've already modified an old webcam, to see how difficult it was. It was a bit of work, but it did work. So, next was a reasonably priced HD Webcam. Thus the Dericam. The camera connected immediately, even on my old laptop running windows 7. This time rather than using a socket to fit into the telescope eyepiece I bought a 1.25" telescope adaptor with a 12mm thread. I thought it was worth the £8 to get a decent fit into the telescope, even if I had to bodge the 12mm threaded end to fit the camera (though I didn't need to , see later). The camera Very, Very easy to modify. Remove the stand (one screw under the rubber bungs). Use your finger nails to un-clip the plastic front cover (photo1). Pull the front silver bezzle off (photo2). Note that I'd unscrewed the camera body from the camera back in this photo - you don't need to do this. Photo 3 shows some glue on the thread of the camera lens, which I removed with a fine screwdriver and then the camera lens unscrews, I also painted the LED's with black nail varnish at this point though you could just tape over the outside when it's all finished. Make sure to keep the sensor clean DON'T TOUCH IT!!!! Photo 4 shows the adaptor fits directly into the front cover of the camera. Note that the adaptor body is slightly too long so I put a rubber washer between the outside of the camera face and the adaptor, if you don't have a suitable ring you can fill the gap with a bit of tape. Then screw the adaptor straight on to the 12mm thread front of the camera. It just happened to be the correct thread, no modifications needed!! Screw it in until it stops - don't over tighten, it doesn't need to be tight and you don't want to damage the camera mount. Clip the plastic front back onto the camera and hey presto, one finished, professional looking HD telescope webcam. It really is that simple and very very good!!

Good image, reasonable price, rubbish microphone
I'm pleased with this webcam, though I'll say up front that I'm no expert. The picture is bright and sharp, and I would say it performs well in low light. The angle of view is about 90°, which is perfect for applications like family groups or my Pilates class. I find it great for business meetings too, though if you want to appear as a "talking head" you might prefer something with a narrower angle. However, the microphone is complete rubbish. I'm not sure what to expect in this regard – I bought this one because I couldn't get hold of a Logitech C920S – and other reviewers report better results. But it's not usable for me.It works flawlessly with my 2015 MacBook Pro – no downloads needed – and is better than the built-in camera. Attaching it to the top of a monitor is something of a balancing act, but seems OK. The tripod socket is excellent. In absolute terms it doesn't seem especially cheap to me. However, at least one other reviewer has said it's better than the Logitech C920S, which costs considerably more. If that's true, I suppose it's a bargain.

excellent webcam with mini tripod and lens cover
arrived as part of a larger package.Well packaged camera. Included is a mini tripod and a separate lens cover.Connected to my old laptop running windows 7 Pro vis USB. Took a few miniutes to search and install the drivers and then it just worked. Picture quality is very clear and sharp. The microphone pickup is very good and clear. The lens cover is separate and has to be stuck manually. But that's quite easy to do as it has a self adhesive pad.Excellent quality camera for the price.Recommended.

Recommended!!!!
Literally everything is good for it’s price, i think you can never find 1080p camera at this price, tbh i just wish it was 60 fps instead of 30 but still, don’t forget that the camera is cheap. If you need a camera with a cheap price this is recommended 100%. But just don’t use it’s microphone and you’re fine because the microphone is bad but everything else is very good!!
