DC Collectibles DC Cover Girls: Mera by Joelle Jones Resin Statue

First of all, even though I'm providing pics of this statue, they unfortunately cannot do it any justice. The other pics of this statue that were posted by other buyers don't do it any justice either. While they took great pics of the statue, they're just doomed (like my photos) to fail at capturing it's beauty. It must be viewed first hand to be truly valued & appreciated for the work of art that it truly is. Okay, that aside, this (DC COLLECTIBLES) "DC COVER GIRLS": MERA statue by Joelle Jones is certainly one of the top 5 statues from DC Collectibles produced in 2019. And DC has had, in my opinion, a lot of wonderful, beautiful statues released so far this year. I have many, many DC statue's I've collected over the past decade and a half, and this Joelle Jones sculpted MERA is already a major standout among them. I noticed a couple other reviewer's here on Amazon have complained about their MERA statue's having uneven paint details in a couple spots, color flaws etc. Luckily my statue had no such issue(s). The paint on mine appears to be flawless & the sculpt is equally flawless. The "water-waves" display base is phenomenal and MERA fits perfectly into it. MERA remains sturdy in her fixed position and there no leaning or wobbly issues whatsoever. If you can't tell yet, what I'm trying to convey to you is this. BUY THIS STATUE! It is definitely worth the $$$! These are a numbered, limited edition of 5,000 in existence, so buy it while you can, especially at the current, relatively low price they are now (07/29/2019)! Fantastic work DC Collectibles! Very highly recommended to all! A+++

So overall I think this is a great figure that has some definite pros and some definite cons.first I’ll start with the cons. Mera unfortunately has pretty poor stability. I had to return the first figure I order because she had a lean and wouldn’t lock onto her base. Another issue is the paint jobs quality control issues. Her lines are not the cleanest. They run onto her suit and vice versa. It’s definitely the worst paint job out of the other J Jones figures out there.But now onto the pros. One thing I really love is her stance. As the title suggests, it feels like Mera is making a statement. She looks as if she’s saying “ I’m here chumps, your queen has arrived!” It’s quite a regal and powerful stance that’s accompanied by the finely sculpted water base which greatly accentuates Meras queenhood. Mera is also about an inch or two taller than Supergirl and Harley Quinn which was a surprise but makes sense since she seems to tower over a lot of other females in the comics. I simply love Aquaman and Mera so even with the cons, she’s still a keeper for me.

One of my absolute favorites of the DC Joelle Jones statue line. She stands so tall and elegant and her red hair is the best part. So much detail was put into making it seem as if the hair flows and curls. She's manipulating water like a boss.

Mera's outfit could be painted a little better but I'm still happy with what I got.

I love this statute. Very well sculpted and excellently painted. Amazing water feature and the focal point of my self. Plus very snuggly shipped. Which is always great to know it's safe. Just an awesome collectible all around.
