Best Broadhead for High Speed Shooting Crossbows with Full Deployment in Target - Massive Wounds!
I have a Ravin R9, and although I absolutely love this crossbow I have learned due to the speed it shoots (around 390 fps) two unanticipated issues were either pre-deployment of mechanical broadheads after leaving the crossbow but before hitting the target or partial deployment after hitting the target. I tried four different broadheads, only to find most, although not -pre-deploying in the air, were not deploying fully once hitting the target. I almost lost a doe as a result of partial deployment after hitting the target. Another friend of mine had the R9 as well and the same issues, and he decided to use the Rage Crossbow X. He said it worked great for him. I decided to up the ante with the Crossbow X-Treme (this product) which has a slightly larger cut than the Rage Crossbow X. Holy cow. After hitting the buck's left rib and breaking through those, it went through the heart, and finally tore out through the opposite side right shoulder. It nearly took off the right shoulder blade. I had myself a complete pass through, and the buck ran no farther than 30 yards from the point of being hit. I swear by these broadheads now, and I went back to my archery shop and told the owner don't sell anything other than these for the Ravin R9 owners.

When you just need the to go down in less than 60 yards
I'd submit a picture but I'm sure it would flag on Amazon. These things just put them down fast. I've tried 5 or so different brands and always come back to these. 2 blades big hole pass through and the blood trail that even myself a color blind guy can see.

Like the new design hold the blades tighter more confidence ...
Heard the hype thought I'd try them. These are incredible. Like the new design hold the blades tighter more confidence they wont open prematurely. With the new shock collar killed a 123lb doe late late bow season. Drilled her 30 yards she ran 120 but saw and heard her collapse followed by death bleat. She was dead in less that 30 seconds still cant find the arrow even brought out a metal detector and had aluminknocks. Buried it in the dirt after pass trough.Previous model rubber collars. Early season killed a large 8 full velvet entered shoulder high exit 3" from the hip he only went 120 yards.Year before hit a doe BAD saw her Guts hanging out while she walked away gave it till morning had blood the hole way she went 70 yards. I didn't hit 1 vital origin. Year before hit a doe 1 lung she ran for ever 600 yards but blood the entire way. Year before hit a doe in the poring rain 4' spatter where the heart hit was I could see from my stand. Watched her fall 40 yards. These are very accurate. It's true they fly like field points and the damage they create is absolutely lethal even with a less than perfect hit.Good product Rage. Now keep those prices down so we don't need to look else where.

Massive wound channel
I love these broad heads. I have never had and issue with them opening during flight. They are absolutely devastating and create a massive wound channel. On the few I have had that hit the spine, they have penetrated more than half way and dropped the deer where it stood. Unfortunately when they hit the spine they are pretty much toasted but you can buy replacement blades if the threaded shaft isn’t bent. Other than that, I sharpen my blade each season and they keep putting in work for me. As for accuracy, that depends on the shooter and their setup. My setup can putting shots within about 2” at 30yds and about 4” at 50yds.

Will not use again
Lost a really nice buck due to these broadheads. I bought these because of the reviews. Two shots broadside, and got the arrows back with some blood and hair on them seem to open prematurely and not penetrate. Bought two sets this year one for my son 28 years old and except for me both of us had the same problem I’m going to go back to old school broad heads.

My husband was happy when I got this gift for him, I don't know anything about hunting but I got the right one.

Good broadhead, disappointing new locking feature
I've used Rage blades for a few years now and I love them, but I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the new breakaway plastic tabs used for the locking feature on these. With the rubber band version, if I knocked a blade loose, it was easy to just pop it back into place. With this plastic tab style, if you knock a blade loose, 1) you have to unscrew the head to be able to put the blade back up, and 2) you've broken or at least slightly bent one of the tabs. I see what Rage was going for with this design, but in use, the blade still pops free just as often in the field, and now it's more of a hassle to get the blade back in. The broadhead itself worked great on the only deer I've used it on so far, but I plan on going back to the older rubber band style of these red Rage chisel broadheads once this package is used up.

Excellent Choice for a Quick Harvest.
I purchased these because of the spread when I bear hunt. The fur and fat makes a blood trail impossible with smaller tips. Within a week, I completed the harvest finding my bear in less than 20 yards.

Great but not super strong
Squirrels 0. Rednecks 24. Shoots true and cuts well. Problem is these darn things usually explode after one use. Love them, just wish they weren’t so fragile.
