I had the hardest of times to find something for my 8.5 year old daughter. She needs the protection to learn how to skateboard. However it is not made for anyone older that 6. Wrist guards are just too small. If you go with Triple Series Small Size vs Junior than all pads are huge. The bottom line you can't win with that product for 8-10 year olds. I bought this one because I saw some reviews where people said it fit the kids that are 8-10 years old. They are completely correct. It is a high quality product that fits juniors (not babies or toddlers) very well. The pads come in the sack that has the size information attached to it. X is 4 inches above knee center or 6 inches above elbow center Y is 4 inches below knee center or 4 inches below elbow center Elbow X 7.5"-9", Y 6.5"-8" Knee X 9"-11", 6.5"-8" Wrist 5"-6" not sure how X or Y applies to it but it fits well. Body mass up to 55lbs. (My daughter weighs around 65 lbs and these fit great) I hope this review will help you to figure out if this works for your child and save you some time trying to find the right product.

Sizing is always tricky with pads like these. Our set fit our 10 year old aspiring skateborder just fine, though the velcro was pulled a bit tight in a few places. The wrist guards are very well made, and more important then the elbow guards according to what my skater friends tell me. The black color and simple look match his ProTec black helmet perfectly and look good. Great pads for a novice skateboarder to learn with. Work great for rollerblading, too!

Sturdy, the "Junior size" fits my 10 year old twin nephews just fine. I don't think they'll be able to wear them beyond 12 though. Need a larger size.

I never write reviews but this product deserves my time. My son is 12 & weighs 67 lbs, is 4'6" tall and the Pro-Tec jr fits perfectly. I am really impressed with the quality and the level of protection it is going to provide. I couldn't be happier with the product. Hope this helps you.

Bought these for my little nephew. The product is well-made and very durable. It's stood up to his abuse and saved him from a lot of scraped knees and elbows. Great kit, great buy!

I ordered these pads for my child (68 lbs, 50 inches tall). They fit her great and work wonderfully as she has begun to learn how to roller blade, with many spills in the process! She's a good sized child and they fit her well, they are not too tight (which I worried about when I received them, I worried they may be too small) but they will last a long time and as she grows older.

Basic kit. Just ok. Protection is fair

These pads are perfect for junior sizing both in adjustability and protection. I bought for my granddaughter but haven't tried them out just yet because she broke her wrist (not skateboarding) and hasn't been able to put them to test. But they appear well made and sturdy for heavy duty use.
