HP 14 Intel Core i5 8th Gen 14-inch FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB/256GB SSD/Windows 10 Home/MS Office/Silk Gold/1.6 kg),bf120TU

Got this laptop during prime day in Amazon for my spouse. My criteria for choosing the laptop were latest gen i5 processor, 8GB RAM, >15" monitor and only SSD (not HDD) as I got used to applications opening within few seconds in my office laptop. This laptop matched my criteria in amazon. Felt it to be little costlier as I was getting the another laptop with better graphics card and 1TB+256GB SSD for another extra 3K (after all the discounts and exchange offers) . But since I have no plans to use it for heavy gaming or store lot of files or photos or videos, I settled for this configuration. Also the other laptop was not from HP. So that too was a factor in my decision. We are liking the laptop so far. Applications launch quickly because of SSD. Havent worked much in the laptop except for occasional browsing and playing videos. Very satisfied with the product so far.

This happens when you trust blindfolded the names like Amazon & HP. I bought this device as I looked at it as an elite class product from HP, but I was completely wrong. I bought it through Amazon, as I knew that there won't be any catch or hidden terms for buying such expensive product. Well.... I was terribly wrong. After purchasing this over expensive product from HP, I realized that it's performance is no different than any other i3 or i5 8th gen. Although it has 8gb ddr4 RAM, yet the device always fails in starting/booting up fast. Only attraction is it's face recognition, and that too if you show your face in the same posture that you stored. Battery life sucks... hardly 2hrs use and it gets drained out. Battery also requires a very long time to recharge it back. I have been using a Macbook pro 14' since past 4 years, and that old laptop has battery 4 times better than this.After I found it not worth keeping, I requested Amazon for an exchange. However, instead of returning the product the initiated a Troubleshooting service. And after wasting the entire week, they finally told me that the product can NOT be returned. It is sad to see a brand like Amazon completely ignoring their loyal clients.Overall... I will not recommend anyone to purchase this overpriced item and rather go for other brands like DELL.

The laptop is working fine for me. This is a slightly old design but comes with a good processor and speed. face recognition working well. No issues faced with MS office home version. Overall good product for official use.Recently the device crashed and stop responding at all. Customer service is modest still need to hear from the team.

All in all there is hardly any cons if u are a normal user without those specification geeks for whom no device seems perfect.!!Super fast proccesor with ssd storage with full hd display experience, face recognition lock & decent battery back up.. About gaming experience haven't played any games(consider opinion of those who are gamers).for me i am more than happy and satisfied...go for it guys!

everything is perfect but two things which I didn't like is that there is no backlit light in the spacebar and the model which I got has a loose touchpad.

Value for money

Product wise I have no issues, good one and going good so far. BUT let me tell you that the seller is not at all good. The warranty of my laptop was expired last uear only. Now i had to go through all the hassle to call up HP customer care to get it renewed as per my purchase date and invoice proof etc. So now i need to wait for 48 hours to see if this can be done. OR ELSE I am going to return this laptop and I need my full money back. Amazon should ban such sellers. Not a good experience, Little DISAPPOINTED!!

The battery life is lasting for around 3-5 days on a single charge with moderate usage.The display is breathtaking, vivid colours and splendid viewing angles.I especially love the keyboard, typing is a very satisfying experience.Compact, light weight, and powerful.Love it!
