Very nice product, keeps the children engaged. manual does not have clear steps, Children need help from the parents hence one star reduced.

Awesome gift for the designer in your daughter
I bought this as a gift for my 7 yr old. It's simple and brings out the creative side. My daughter is fascinated and can do it alone as well. Very good seller and delivery was before time

Brought it for my 5 yr old niece, and she loved it. Parental guidance required as some objects are sharp.

Not SAFE for children!
I am very disappointed with this product. I wonder how this is even allowed to be sold as a product for children. The materials provided in the kit are of such low quality and are truly unsafe.1. Thimble: The very first time i took it out to show to my daughter how to use it, the needle jumps right through it poking me. In our excitement to start making stuff, we decide to chuck it and move on.2. Few stitches in to the pouch, my daughter says ouch. I look up to find that the needle had snapped. We spent a good fifteen minutes to find the broken end so it doesn't hurt anyone.3. Everything in the kit is of terribly low quality . The measuring tape is paper. I can not imagine why one would cut corners on a measuring tape which is a pretty basic requirement in a kit like this.4. The straight pins provided are in a flimsy pack that allows it to easily slip through again making it potentially dangerous.I wouldn't recommend this for children AT ALL.

A good first sewing kit
A lovely first sewing kit for my 8 year old granddaughter. She wanted to get started staright away! She loved all the little extras such as the pins and pincushion.

Disappointing
Definitely needs parental involvement. There are barely any instructions. Was hoping for step by step instructions so that my daughter could use this set independently. A lot of animal projects in this set, which gets boring.

What a great little kit! Bought for my 9 year old daughter, it's not babyish at all. Proper pins etc, lots to keep us occupied.
