2 Gauge Marine Wire 2 AWG Marine Grade Wire,25FT Red & 25FT Black

This is good quality, marine grade pure copper wire. It is as good as any that I have worked with and is decently priced. It is flexible and the insulation is thick and rugged. If you are wiring boats, it is very important you adhere to the ABYC standards and that you use marine grade. This is our superior to copper clad wire. I have used it when installing power inverters on motor boats. It can also be used to make custom jumper cables if needed or for car or marine audio.. keep in mind. This is very heavy gauge fine stranded wire and you want to use the right tools to work with it and the right electrical connectors.

I wrote a review based on AI based on my photo and the review said the strand is not tinned. Then I cut the jacket and found sliver coating and ask AI . It admitted the comment it made is wrong. It says "Now that you've verified the printed marine jacket and the silver-tinned outer strands, you are completely good to go. This cable is fully protected against salt-air corrosion and is perfectly safe to use for your boat's electrical projects!" so I want to withdraw my previous review but do not know how. So I write this to correct it

I added a lithium battery bank into my boat. I needed tined cable. This cable worked great. It was easy to cut and crimp on lugs.

Its marine grade tinned wire. As noted, jacket is stiff. Note the description says “up to UL rated”. It does not have the UL rating or temperature rating on the jacket… so i believe they haven’t paid for the UL testing. However, the wire itself is quality, fine-strained tinned copper.

Perfect for rewiring my pontoon boat rewire project. Pure copper is the only way to go.

It’s definitely wire. It’s even fine strand. Jacket is TERRIBLY stiff. Not tinned copper either. If you’re doing a boat project, try something else.
