Earth Friendly Products Ecos Liquid Laundry Detergent,with built-in fabric softener, Free and Clear, 170 Ounce

LOVE this eco-friendly laundry detergent. Purchased the largest size, and it's so nice to get it delivered 'right-to-the-door' with AMAZON. Best price too! I've ordered different versions of this product (scent vs. unscented/FREE) and I like the FREE (of scent) version the BEST. Mild, yet effective laundry liquid, that lasts 170+ washes (for me). I don't believe the more the suds, the cleaner -- so I use this concentrate sparingly, and seem to get great results. No need for fabric softener; it's allows for a soft dryer result. I use this 170 oz. bottle to fill a smaller container that I keep on the shelf; this is a taller, and bigger version so I keep it on the floor nearby. Great price at about $21 - give or take a few cents.

I discovered Ecos while I lived in Florida. I have moved up to New York and found this wonderful detergent on Amazon. It is wonderful on my laundry. Gets the clothes clean in cold water and benefits the environment.

We selected this detergent after reading recommendations for washing cloth diapers and comparing prices. This is by far the most economical choice, and we've started using it for all of our laundry. This has done such a nice job on our cloth diapers that I haven't needed to strip them yet, and we've been cloth diapering over a year. Our water is on the harder side, and while this doesn't have the bleaching/whitening agents to keep our things bright, it has done a very nice job keeping the worst of fading and discoloration at bay. I love that it is better for our skin and for the environment. It will take me some convincing to switch to something different.

This is the only detergent my wife and I use. We're both in our 30's and are very active outdoors and our clothes tend to take a beating. This soap cleans em very well. I wash all of my technical layers and fly fishing waders with this stuff without any problems. I'm personally allergic to TIDE detergent and cannot use it because I'll break out in rashes, but this detergent had never irritated my skin. It cleans well, doesn't leave your clothes smelling weird, and doesn't irritate my skin. Highly recommended.

We use this on woven wraps only. On clothes we just need more in the way of stain fighting power. This seemed to create grease spots, and did next to nothing on other treated stains. Diapers didn't seem to get clean enough, either.My real complaint is that this is my second purchase, and the second time I've received a leaking product. Last time the lid wasn't completely screwed on, this time it is cracked and the box and another purchase (a book!!) are covered in detergent. For the price of this detergent, I really don't want large amounts of it leaking out before I open it. Thankfully we don't have to buy it more than once or twice a year.

This is our only laundry detergent. I have sensitive skin and it is made worse by some chemicals and fragrances. I tried soap nuts but they didn't clean our clothes well enough. This is a good solution - cleans our clothes as well as All Free 'n Clear, but is less toxic.I have three children (2, 6, 8), two dogs, and an auto mechanic husband. The only clothes that come out iffy are the husband's - but really, no detergent can truly get out those motor oil and grease stains without pre-treating.

I'd give it more stars if this was the product I received. I ordered Free and Clear because my wife is allergic to fabric softeners and the like. I received the item and it indeed said F&C and I poured it into our dispenser that sits on the laundry shelf. My wife came home and let out a shriek. "I can't use this. It has fabric softener in it." I hadn't noticed that the label also said "with Fabric Softener". Guess we will have two bottles of detergent for awhile.
