I recommend choosing another tarp. The first one I received had a hole in it a little smaller than the size of a dime a few inches from the ridge line. Not a tear, it looked like a cigarette burn - a perfect circle. I returned it and received another a day before departing on a weekend camping trip. On the second day, one of the two ridge line plastic D-rings snapped without warning into two pieces. I had to tie the guy wire through the edge fabric to hold up for the second night. Needless to say, I'm returning it. Aside from the hole and cheap plastic hardware, this tarp seemed well made. It's too bad, but I suppose this is why the tarp is half the price of the industry-standard manufacturers.

Update: Have used it on more short backpacking trips and I really like this tarp. Good coverage for my hammock setup. Read the reviews with the plastic D rings breaking and although mine didn’t decided to chop those off and replace with a carabiner.Original:Have not had it in rain yet but I will comment on the quality. I searched around for a hammock tarp that did not have metal grommets as I kept reading that they would rip. This fit the bill. Took it on one overnight so far and it is great. Good quality and covers my hammock completely. Lightweight and sturdy. Included gear for setting up is quality and lightweight as well. Will update if I do face rain one day. I definitely recommend this.

A little bit shorter in length than I hoped for but plenty wide. Havent used in a hard rain/wind but I have concerns for the possibility of some dripping at the head and foot of my hammock. Satisfied with what the price and product. Not the lightest weight but seems very durable.

I got a lot of compliments on this rain fly. I like the shape and size. It fits right over my hammock and isn't too noisy with the wind.

For the price, this is a great tarp to use for hammocking. The material is durable and it comes with plenty of cord. When the package arrived, it was missing one of the aluminum stakes that should have come with it. I contacted the seller and had a new one within three days. Awesome product and great customer service!

Great tarp - a good size for car camping or tenting, lightweight, easy to set up, quite waterproof. Has everything you'd want in a tarp without the billowing, crackling sail of a home depot tarp.

It is a functional rain fly.
