2019 UPDATE!! Great product and very compact!
I can't believe it! After nearly 7 years of being maintained in the "ON" position one of the 2 units I purchased finally failed. The internal relay is actually still fine but the transistor failed, from being powered and maintaining power for 7 years. This is amazing that a $14 relay can hold up to the constant load for this long. Needless to say, I bought another one. This item obliterates the ol sayin' "you get what ya pay for" I am suprised at the construction considering the price. Here are some items that I needed to know that were not avail in the description.- The unit measures 2.5" x 1.75" x 0.875" ( or 7/8" ). These measurements are LxWxH- The key fob measures 1.75" x 1.25" x 0.5" , Batteries included!- The wires measure 16 inches in length- The Positive wire is 16AWG and the Negitive is 20AWG- The unit has 5 wires (+12V in, +12V out, 2 ground wires that are soldered to the same location on the board, and an antenna)- Key fob rated at a range of 30 meters- I ordered two units and each unit operates on its own frequency so there is no operation when using the other units key fob.- The unit is rated at 6 amps max. but the internal relay is rated at 14A. I dont feel you should rely on this rating as I am sure there are other items in the circuit that calculate to the rated 6A. I just thought that it was intresting they would provide a mechanical relay that is rated at more then double the items rated capacity. Gives you peace of mind that this is not your typical "Made in China" garbabe but rather a unit that will handle the rated load without the relay buring the contact tips.- The internal relay is N.O. (normaly open) and requires a constant +12v to maintain the throw. In other words the relay does not maintain its swithed position when power is removed. It will return to the OFF position.- SPST Maintained operation (until power is removed)- Manufactured by LogisysThis review is for someone who needs just a little bit more info about operation than the product description provides. All in all.... Great item, great transaction, quality. A little disapointed the seller didn't combine shipping when ordering two but a good deal none the less.12/5/13 UPDATE: As I stated before I had purchased two of these units. One relay operates an electromagnet which has been energized 24/7 since it was installed at the time of purchase. I use the key fob to release the magnet momentarily about once per month. Otherwise this relay has maintained operation the entire time. The second unit is being used to open and close an entry gate at my home. This relay cycles 4 times a day 4-5 days a week and has done so since it was purchased. I have no problems with this item. I will ad that I was able to use the key fob to program the "HomeLink" garage door buttons in my car and truck. So in two of my vehicles I don't even use the key fob. This is nice at night. It was difficult for me to find an identical item that operated on 110VAC (household power) and still be this inexpensive so I opted for this item and a inexpensive power supply from ebay. It's insane how far this remote works!
A friend of mine purchased a huge 42 foot toy hauler that has a beautiful set of spot lights mounted on each side of the front along with a foot long bar of led's accross the top. All these lights were controlled by one out side switch mounted on the lower front of his fifth wheel trailer. He made the mistake of telling me how he wished these lights were controled by a pocket remote control so he could turn them on as he drove up to the trailer and turn them off after he went inside. So un be knowns to him I went on line and found that Amazone not only had one 12 vlt. remote, but a whole collection of them. I picked the RMO1 1 channel unit with key bob remotes and hooked it up for him.Neither of us could believe it when it was still turning the lights off and on at 100+ feet.It only has a 10 inch pig tail for an antenna and it is surrounded by metal on 3 sides but works like a charm. He was amazed that I could find somthing like this so fast and get it here in just 4 days. I told him to just think Amazon and magic happens :)Now that I see how inexpensive these remotes are and how easy they are to hook up I'm going to put remote shut off's on my RV generators.

Worked perfectly
Works very well with good range. I wasn't too sure about this since it was very small, very inexpensive and had a weird quirk of having 2 smaller ground wires instead of just one thicker wire, but it does it's job perfectly well. I had it installed in my vehicle under the front seat to control some lights and the range was better than expected and the speed that the box would react was instant. I was able to switch on the remote from as far away as I wanted, up to at least 60 feet from inside a building. I haven't tried much farther than that and never once did it not work. I also never had any accidental turn-ons with the remote clipped to my key ring, in my pocket. It is only rated at 6 amps, so if you plan to use it for something with a higher amp load than that, be sure to have it control a relay, letting the relay handle the load. Highly recommended!

A Wireless Switch for a Wireless RV Camera!
I have a 30-foot RV with an internally mounted rear camera that I intend to use for watching traffic behind me when driving as well as a reverse camera when backing up. Since this camera is part of my GPS setup (Garmin 760 LMT) and is wired directly to a 12-volt source, I wanted to be able switch the power on and off as needed from the driver's seat while on the road. I initially had 2 concerns: That the signal for the remote switch would interfere with the wireless signal from the camera and would the switch constantly draw power from the house battery. In two separate emails to Logisys, my concerns were addressed quickly and courteously by Oscar. And no, the remote's frequency (3.15MHz) will not interfere with the camera's 2.4GHz signal and when the unit is not being used it will not draw any power. I hooked it all up and it works great! So not only is the wireless remote control perfect for my needs, but also very reasonably priced and the customer service was superb.

Works very well
This little "normally off' remote control 12 V DC on off device works very well. It has functioned perfectly for more than three months so far, with daily use. The distance between the fob and the switch in our installation is about 20 feet through a brick wall. Installation is easy if you connect the the two black common wires correctly, one to the negative from the DC source and the other from the negative return on the switched device. It doesn't matter which goes where, as long as they are kept separate. The supplied diagram is opaque. Remote control fobs can be opened to replace the battery. The unit has an unsealed opening and is not waterproof.
