Growing up, I didn't own a dog. Instead, I had pets like hamsters, birds & rabbits. It wasn't until 2005 that I adopted my first dog, Mikee, a beautiful, gentle & fun loving cocker spaniel. He lived for 16 years when he passed away in 2021. It's been 3 years now & I still haven't found the urge to adopt a new forever friend. I had bumped into this Perfect Petzzz by complete accident & I'm glad that I did. The moment I saw the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, my heart melted. I had to buy it. Why others want to give it a negative review is beyond me. But let me tell you what I think. The quality & build of this product is top notch. The fur is silky & the craftsmanship couldn't be anymore great. The breathing mechanism just baffles me. You can barely hear it. There's no whining of the machine inside, nor does it make any kind of sound that's annoying. The size of this dog is what you'd expect out of a puppy. So cute! The items that come with said purchase includes: --your special little friend --a single D battery --a soft bed for your dog --a brush --an adoption paper that you can fill out I would've never purchased this on any given day, but something just told me to heal again. As I type this, Starfire (that's the name I gave my forever friend) is resting in it's bed. It's as realistic as it gets & I'm happy until I decide to adopt again. Having this alternative to a real pet--for now--puts a smile on my face. It's a calming feeling that I never knew it could give me. 😌 Everytime I leave before work, I put Starfire at the end of my bed just like how I remember seeing Mikee those many years ago...

Our King Charles Cavalier died recently. He lived to 14 years and 7 months. His absence is highly palpable to our family. He was embedded in the fabric of our life for almost 15 years. He had his spot at the end of the family room couch where he sat and slept while we watched TV. I bought the Petzzz dog and put him in our dog's usual spot. The Petzzz dog looks very similar to our dog. So when we look over at the couch now, it's not empty. The Petzzz dog fills the hole where our beloved pet is no longer. We can hear it "breathing". The movement of breathing and the sound is a nice touch. It's touching to see this stuffed animal. When I look over there is an instant for a second that I think he's still here. That's no longer the case, but it helps.

I am so very pleased with this! I bought the King Charles Cavalier and the orange tabby. I am a nurse who works long term care and we have many residents with Alzheimer's/dementia and these were a great success with improving moods and behaviors! The residents just absolutely loved these and many thought they were real! They are very soft to the touch and the details were very realistic. The breathing action adds that extra touch of realism. Great product for a great price! It comes with a cardboard carrier, a bed, a brush and an adoption certificate. The animal has a collar with a tag. There is not a shut off switch though. There are small imperfections where the seams come together on the body, but it is minor. I would definitely recommend these!

This was a gift from me to me. It looks pretty real, it breathes, and it's nice to have around if you can't have the real thing -- no walks, no clean up and you save on dog food! If it comes to the point where my mother is moved into a place where she can't have a real pet, after this experience, I'll definitely get her a cat version of this (she's a cat person). As for me, I've wanted a real dog since my last dog, Sassy, died in 2011. It took awhile before I was ready -- then travel and a housemate who was allergic to dogs delayed things. This seemed like a good idea until I was ready. My grandkids love it (ages 2 and 5) - the 5 year old had to be convinced it wasn't real. My youngest son (an intelligent 24 year old) saw a video I posted on facebook where I announced my "new family member" - and didn't follow the conversation, where it was revealed it wasn't real. At Christmas he presented me with a dog hammock car seat cover as my gift, for my dog. Haha! I now have a new dog, so this doggie is set aside for when the grandkids come to visit.

This was for my mother who is in a nursing home and can't have a real pet. She loves how it soothes her at night with the breathing and slight snoring!

My granddaughter has wanted one forever after seeing one highly priced at a restaurant gift store. This one arrived in a badly damaged box (this was to be her birthday present). There’s NO ON/OFF switch. So you’d have to screw/unscrew it each time to detach battery instead of being able to easily turn it on to watch it “breathe”. The fur is sloppily glued on and “pads” are missing from one of the paws. Speaking of paws, it only has three as the manufacturer didn’t car to make it have all its legs.

Ordered this puppy for grandson's Christmas gift. This is only thing he said he wanted from Grammy for Christmas. I had given his sister a brown lab one for her birthday in September and he has talked about wanting his own since then. Hope this will make his day. His sister likes hers and is very protective over it....however don't think she remembers to feed him on a regular basis.

Bought as a comfort for my mum who had a stroke and has dementia. Read the existing reviews before purchase and a common thread seemed to be about that it was hard and a bit noisy. Well I can confirm it is made of hard plastic but the fur is soft. It does make a very slight noise but more like a soft purr, so not annoying. My mum is bedridden so I laid it on her tummy and she touched it and then kept her hand on its head. The 'breathing' is very life-like. It has a cute little collar and tag round its neck and bed and adoption paper. Very happy with this purchase.

My 7 year old loves her puppy. Realistic breathing motion and slight “snoring” sound. Smells a bit like chemicals but otherwise great. She says her puppy keeps her company at nighttime and she doesn’t feel as lonely in her bed.
