American Marine PINPOINT pH Probe

WOW!!! A product that works as it is supposed to... Went to calibrate and was shocked that the probe was reading the three calibration solutions dead on. Works pefect with the bluelab unit shown.

Good value. Holds its calibration well and stabilises at a new reading fairly quickly. It's not a high priced unit so I did do a quick check on the accuracy. After calibrating with standard buffers at 7.0 and 10.01 I made up a pH 7.8 potassium phosphate buffer solution and the probe (with American Marine pinpoint pH meter) gave a reading 0f 7.79. I'm a 'home' user and only interested in the range from 7.0 to 9.0 so please bear that in mind when reading my review.

This probe works exactly like the apex brand at a much lower cost.

For the $, lasted considerably longer than expected. Using as replacement on BLUELAB combo meter. Worked perfect almost a yr, just took about 1min to read correct PH.Sure beat $70 for the actual blue lab replacment ph probe for price, & lasted about same amount of time.

picked it up to see if it would work on my Neptune Apex and it works great with it.

This pen looks like it has broke on me already. I dont want to wait 10 min to see if that fixes it. Right now after 2 min in 7.0 solution, I'm showing a reading of 11.2!@# I put in 4.0 solution for a cpl min, and I'm getting a 1.1 reading...wtf!~@! Complete waist of money this pen was. Stick with bluelabs pen!

I had a Marine PINPOINT CO2 controller from about 20 years ago. I was so glad to find that the probes were still available.
