Go back to the beginnings of Calvinism and the English Protestant Reformation, and discover the bible that brought the Word of God to the common man. The original way to read the bible in your own language, for your own study, and translated directly from the original works in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. The preferred text and the bible of early America, William Shakespeare, and John Milton, this is not just an important religious text, but the cornerstone of modern English and American culture. Uncover the missing history between the Old and New Testament detailed in the books of the Apocrypha, following the evolution of Christianity into its modern form. The beliefs, folklore, history, and songs of the first Christians give unparalleled insight and context into the scriptures. Whether for academic study, personal reflection, spiritual growth, or as a meaningful gift to loved ones, this bible is everything you need to deepen your relationship with Christ. Review: Words spelled differently but very good - Wow how different the spelling of words when this Bible was translated. I enjoy reading it though. Wrong listing. No annotations
Its a Geneva Bible alright, and I enjoy it, but they are wrong. I like it, no issues there. Im not saying the title is lieing. But it is more than misleading, it is flat out incorrect. It is NOT an annotated Geneva Bible. There are NO annotations. I will be buying another Geneva Bible with the old school annotations, because those early authors had some very very interesting things to say in the annotations. This copy is missing them. There are other versions out there with the annotations. If you dont care about that, then 5/5. But the seller SHOULD change the name of the listing. It is as wront as two boys... anyways, get yourself some chapter tabs, you will thank me. See the pics, no annotations, especailly with Matthew 24. Those are interesting, I enjoy the insight our brothers in Christ had about the chapter. Unfortunately, no annotations
