Tilly Quilted Tote

My son bought me this as a Mother's Day gift. It is so stylish and versatile. I have received compliments on it every time I've used it. It has enough room for laptop and other items or can work as an overnighter. I brought to Trader Joe's for shopping and it was great . Very versitile

A good quality bag. I don't understand one thing, why doesn't it close? Okay, is it expensive or troublesome to sew in a lock, but can I put a button there? The bag should close. And that will help keep its shape. Otherwise, when I put the bag down, it falls apart shapelessly and everything inside spills out. I kept it for myself because I liked it. And the shoemaker next door promised to put a couple of buttons on it to give the bag a finished look.

Large bag, whether you want to use it for the gym, work or just as an everyday bag! It’s good for all occasions!

cute bag and pretty design, but floppy and not as functional. could use better pockets. very light and portable!

Just what I was looking for. Wide enough for my laptop to fit. My only concern is the handle; feels flimsy and could break over time.... we'll see I guess.

This kate spade Tilly Quilted tote bag in City Scape (a beige/neutral color) is large enough for a laptop, wallet, notebook, phone, and various other self-care products. The quilted design looks floral from a distance but is actually clusters of spades. The clip/hook and the metal loop to which it latches are on the smaller sides of the bag; thus when the bag is open, it has a rectangular shaped and when closed, it is an isosceles trapezoid (longer base/bottom and shorter/smaller at the top by the handles). The bottom of the bag has two leather feet to provide greater stability when placing the tote on a surface. Overall, this appears to be a high quality bag with even stitching, sturdy hardware, and a durable inner lining. I got this for myself, but my teenage daughter has already told me that she would like to "borrow" it (a.k.a. take it and never return it), so it seems to have multi-generational appeal. Update 6/16/26: The straps may be thin, but this tote is sturdy. I recently returned from a trip to the Caribbean, and on the way there, my checked bag was three pounds too heavy, so I had to remove some items. I was able to add a compression sack of clothes to this tote that was already filled with three paperback books of approximately 400 pages each, my sunglasses case, my quart sized bag of liquids, a water bottle, and many other random small items. The tote definitely had more in it than I’d planned for, and the contents were heavy. This tote rose to the challenge and stayed in pristine condition!
