Do control freaks fit on the joy sticks ?

The short concave sticks fit KontrolFreek just fine. I installed a CQC and CQCX on a new Instinct Pro today. Two short concave sticks come standard with the Instinct.

Is it as poorly built as the prestige was?

I’m have heard a lot about these controllers but the bottom line is they cost more than the elite series 2 ( about$100 more) and it doesn’t have built in rechargeable battery. Elite gets like 30+ hours battery life. Don’t waste your money until they incorporate a battery pack.

can you disable all the back buttons/paddles ?

If you mean un-assign then yes. Honestly it’s nice because you have 3 different modes to choose from so you can setup one mode so they are disabled and the other 2 modes can be assigned.
