3244-60 Card HiTester and Digital Multimeter, 41.99 Megaohms Resistance, 500V AC/DC Voltage

Somewhere in Japan is a design genius. Stunning design and execution. Superb build quality by one of the world's best test equipment makers. I have used Fluke and other multimeters professionally for many years. I also own one of the new mid-priced multi-meters that does nearly everything. But, this one is my favorite. I normally check only a few things: DC volts, AC volts, resistance, and continuity. These are these only functions this device checks. Auto ranging. Icon driven selector switch. Leads permanently attached. No chance for error. So small, it is always in my tool bag. Fits in my shirt pocket. Yes, pricey for what it is. For many, the cheap units from Harbor Freight have more functionality and much lower prices. By all means, trust a Harbor Freight or no name unit if you must. By all means, buy a high-end Fluke if you can afford it and have the space for it (the low and mid range Fluke units are now made in China). For most, this precision only-made-in-Japan unit is the unicorn.

More often than not, I don't want to lug around my Klein multimeter, particularly when it's in small spaces. I tested this Hioki unit against my Klein and it was spot on. The only downside is that it's made in South Korea, and the instructions do not include any English. But if you can't figure out how to use this thing without instructions then you don't need to be using it.

The case is nice, metering is fairly accurate until battery runs low. There is no battery monitor for its own internal battery. It will simply give you erroneous readings. Also it CANNOT be used in tandem with another meter to check continuity on power runs.

Works as promised. Is exactly what I expected. Matches all published specifications. Beeping signal occurs as designed and is no way a distraction, offensive, or physically painful.

Good size and easy to use.

This meter can measure and test almost anything except diodes and capacitors. AC/DC volts, resistance and continuity. But lacks diodes and capacitance readings. Capacitance is feature found in medium to higher end meters but diode testing can be found in $15 multimeters is these days. Instructions are in japanese only but a meter this simple doesn’t need much instructions to use. Very good meter. Recommended.

Pros: nice quality, great probes (sharp tips, flexible wires - a bit on the shorter side though), reasonably fast and accurate to the last digit - as you'd expect from a "Made in Japan" reputable brand as Hioki. Cons: it beeps continuously, and there is nothing you can do about it. Whatever you measure, it beeps every time it switches the range (trying to find the best range for the measurement) then it beeps one more time when it settles to the final value. Leave it on the bench in V mode, with the probes in the air (doing nothing) and it will pick up 60Hz noise and display random numbers (like any other meter). But unlike any other meter, it will also beep while switching the range randomly, trying to measure the noise. Other than that, it's a fine meter. Could have had more features (diode testing and capacitance), but the lack of features is factored in the price, so no issues with that whatsoever.

Hioki instruments may not be a household name as Fluke or Keysight but it is one of the highest quality test equipment anyone can buy, particularly their line of Digital Multimeters (DMM). We used them in our lab and test benches alongside Flukes, Keysight and Flir. The 3244-60 Card HiTester is no exception. It isn't exactly a full bench meter however; for a pocket take-anywhere DMM, in my opinion it is perhaps the best DMM in its class. It is well build, accurate as the Fluke or Keysight/Agilent bench meters we have in our lab and comes with a solid case. If it matters, this Hioki 3244-60 DMM is made in Japan. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, all Hioki handheld DMM are made in Japan.

funziona...ha un margine di errore inferiore a quanto dichiarato nelle specifiche. provato con 3 tester : un Hioki 3240 mi dava V. 1,537 - un altro V. 1,539... e questo acquistato V. 1,541 piccolo e pratico

普段のPC修理や電子工作用に使っています。 主にマザーボードの導通確認や抵抗値、電圧の測定に使っていますが、表示が見やすく、測定も安定していて使いやすいです。特に導通チェックの反応が良く、細かい場所を何か所も確認するときに助かっています。 安価なテスターも使ったことがありますが、Hiokiは本体やプローブの作りがしっかりしていて、測定中の安心感があります。長く使う工具として考えると、多少価格が高くても選ぶ価値はあると思います。 一方で、簡単な電池チェック程度にしか使わない人には少しオーバースペックかもしれません。PC修理や電子工作などで頻繁に使う人にはかなりおすすめです。

Perfect for my basic electrical / electronic diagnosis needs. Made in Japan so I expect quality and reliability. The only issue is the manual included is not in English.
